Return visit. We love this place. It’s very well managed. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Buffet is good quality. Pools are not to crowded. A couple of suggestions- the hotel is catering for a mostly over 60 crowd. It would be good to have a few more sports for older children on the animation programme e.g more frequent tennis, ping pong etc. at least in the school holidays. I’d also be very happy if the spa ran a ‘junior hour’ and let older children in at certain times with an adult (they offer this at the Radisson) - that would be very helpful for solo parents. Otherwise, I only have good things to say about this hotel.

Am just back from spending a week at this lovely hotel. My room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the quiet pool. I discovered at the end of my stay that there was a fridge in my room!
Towels for the pool are provided and there is a policy of ‘ not booking a sun lounger with your towel’ until you are actually ready to use it! There are several bars and places for drinks and snacks, lots of activities - table tennis, tennis, to name a couple.
The restaurant was terrific and he staff couldn’t have been more helpful. There is something to tempt and satisfy everyone’s palate ! It’s possible to have a very healthy diet - or max out with waffles and deserts! Even a chocolate fountain for profiteroles (very irresistible) and fruit.
It’s a short walk/stroll down to the port, where a very pleasant hour or 4 can be spent mooching around - to book a boat trip and go watch the dolphins.
I’m planning a return visit next year - the winter sunshine (20 deg) was wonderful.

There is no doubt that Puerto de Mogan is a great place to go for lapping up a bit of winter sun in a very pretty town. There is also not doubt that this hotel is set in very nice grounds and in the man the staff are all very helpful. Everywhere is also very clean. However I'm not sure we will return. We stayed in a Junior suite and happily we had a good open view and realised we were very luck as some rooms are very dour and dark and consequently cold at this time of year. the breakfasts in the Blue Building we very good but sadly the buffet dinner in the main restaurant is only average at best. The meats and sides were invariably cold which was a great shame as the quality was usually OK. The only a la carte option is the expensive Michelin restaurant. My advice to anyone would be to NOT take the half board option but instead visit the many and varied local restaurants. We normally stay in a suite in the Canarian H10 hotels and here we get a welcome bottle of fizz, two bottles of water a day (not the stingy two on arrival) and a surprise gift each night. More importantly we get to eat in the a la carte restaurant if we book half board. TV reception in English language is also very good but not in Cordial I'm afraid. BBC1 generally Ok, but Film 4 and Channel 4 invariably not available or frozen - and that's it. No ITV or BBC2. I know you don't come on holiday to watch TV but on the odd evening (its dark at 7.00pm) its good to have a choice. Finally the suites are supposed to have a large double bed - but its actually two twins made up separately and shoved together.

So - in conclusion - the service here is not really 4 star as there are a lot of things missing compared to a comparable H10 hotel. I'm sure the management have had this feedback before but they do not seem able to do anything about it.
