Not a lot to say as others have said it all.
We stayed in the self catering apartments which our block was tired and needed a revamp. They seem to be refreshing the whole complex a bit at a time.
Superb service from the manager who solved a teething problem.
We would definitely stay again in the not to far future.

The new Radison Blue is just over the road and a bit newer but if it’s service you want then you wouldn’t be disappointed staying at the Cordial Morgan Player.

This is a very nice hotel. The buildings and courtyard gardens make the environment very restful. Our standard room was great with a view over the cactus garden and spa area. Rooms were kept spotless and the domestic staff were lovely. The restaurant was good and the food what you should expect . The first eight days of the holiday the hotel was certainly no where near full and the dining was relaxed although still busy enough . On our last days the hotel filled another 100rooms as we were told by the desk . The restaurant suffered and it became a bit of a scrum despite having two sittings. Our allocated table was next to a couple who were obviously long term regulars this mean the maitre de spent a lot of time stood behind my chair having long animated conversations with them. We at time struggled to get a waiter. One irritation was the lack of enforced no smoking areas , the few outside dining areas were full of smokers as was the area around the pool. Tbh that was a big disappointment . The hotel was very good but a little bit of extra attention would make it brilliant.

Stayed in a junior suite which was spacious and had everything you would need.
Staff throughout were excellent in particular at the pool bar and at reception who were helpful in advising on getting to Los palmas via the bus ,which is worth a day out to see the old town .
Whilst Puerto de mogan is a modern resort it has some old quarters which have charm and there is an excellent choice of restaurants .
Breakfast was good if not outstanding .
The hotel grounds are verdant and even though we were told the hotel was full you it never felt busy .
The archeological site is worth a visit on the day they give a guided tour -see notice board in reception
We would recommend and would return

Room Tip: Junior suites are away from main building and are quieter

Where to start? This hotel certainly has the wow factor ... everything is amazing from the moment you walk through the doors. Fizz at reception as you book in, wine and fruit in the spotlessly appointed rooms. The gardens are spectacular and surround 2 pools, one salt water, one fresh water. Sunbeds were plentiful although you still had people reserving even though it was totally unnecessary. A spa, archeological site and cactus garden add to the uniqueness of this hotel. Breakfast choices were great ... from full English to pancakes, fresh fruit, cheese or porridge to name just a few. Dinner runs on 2 sittings and the service was always swift and again the menu was varied with fresh fish cooked as you waited and always a good range of meat or vegetarian options. The opportunity to change from dinner to lunch is a welcome perk if you fancy a day relaxing by the pool and then a potter down to Mogan Harbour for dinner. Mogan itself is beautiful and everything is immaculately clean and tidy and we found the locals very friendly. There's a good range of restaurants, shops and bars and its worth exploring the side streets for less touristy venues. Although there is some allowance for children in the hotel, really it is more suited to adults and if there was one area that could be improved, it would be the evening entertainment which at times was a little hard work! Other than that, nothing was too much trouble right down to afternoon tea served in the Library. Would we return? Like a shot!

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view or pool view on one of the higher floors.
