As a family group of 14, with age ranges from 13 to 79, we'll be dining out on stories and laughs for years! We not only built and sailed rafts on the Lough but showed our competitive skills at laser clay pigeon shooting. All rounded off with a must for all Game of Thrones fans- a chance to have a go at archery as the Starks of Winterfell! The team at Clearsky were fantastic- we're just looking for an excuse to come back! - Thanks again to everyone including the guys who made our lunch.

My boyfriend and I went for the day and everything about it was superb. The staff are fabulous; warm and friendly and very helpful. The grounds and surrounding area are so beautiful and the activities are fabulous. We spent our morning biking and our afternoon canoeing on Strangford lough, then finished off the day with the game of thrones archery. I really can't praise this place enough, it is perfect for a day out. A massive thanks to all the staff including Nuala for getting me the last minute booking, Rab for helping us with the bikes, canoes and letting us squeeze on to the archery at the last minute and of course our archery guide who was simply brilliant. We cannot wait to return in the summer

Daughter and I went to ClearSkyAdventure Centre's Game of Throne Experience and were thoroughly delighted with it. Very welcoming staff, all dressed up in GOT costume. 'Jon Snow' took us through our archery session in WinterFell. 10/10 Just wished it could have been longer. Highly recommended adventure!

Called here while at Castle Ward - the buildings are part of the estate and in an amazing setting, picturesque in their own right and next to the lough. Various artists share the premises but Clearsky's main office is in the inner courtyard, which was also the setting for the Game of Thrones set of Winterfell. So, naturally, they have set up an experience which allows adults to indulge their GoT fantasy - dress up and shoot (arrows). Much fun was had and Andrew is totally cool and laidback - a benefit with 'live' ammunition around being fired by excited BIG kids. The entrance is also dressed with a GoT theme, adding to the atmosphere and fun. This was all we tried but they hire bikes and provide various water activities as well. The GoT activity is relatively new but recommended for all, not just obsessive fans.

I purchased the Couple's Glamping Package as part of my boyfriend's birthday present, which included Canadian Canoeing/Archery (I picked Canoeing), a bike hire, and an overnight's stay in a Pod at Castle Ward's Campsite. £105, which £52.50 each for all of the above, not a bad price at all.

Clearsky is accessed via the main entrance of Castle Ward, do not follow Google Map's advice of going down Audleystown Rd. There are plenty of carparks to park your car, but if you follow the signs to the Farmyard, you can park your car right beside the centre.

When you arrive, you book in to your activity, fill out a few forms. The guy behind the desk is lovely, really laid back and makes you feel so welcome! He booked us in for Kayaking instead of Canadian Canoeing, which was nothing to complain about - it was so much fun!

You're given up to 1 hour 30 minutes in the kayak, and you are given full instructions before you set off on your journey. There are boundaries for inexperienced people booking in for these type of packages, so that you are well within view of the instructor who comes out to check on you every 15 minutes.

After enjoying your time out in the bay a warm shower awaits you back at Clearsky. Bike hire is also fantastic, and there are plenty of trails that vary in intensity and length. The surroundings are truly beautiful, and it's a nice place to cycle through.

After our day, we went back to our Pod at the campsite, which a very basic, wooden Pod. It is exactly what it is described as 'Glamping'. There's no camp beds or anything inside, you bring your camping gear with you (I'd recommend an air mattress as ground is quite hard), and you sort your bedding and cooking out yourself. There is a small BBQ area beside each Pod, with two plastic chairs and a picnic table. So bring a disposable BBQ with you, fire those burgers on, and appreciate the stunning surroundings of Castle Ward!

There's a warden who is based at the campsite, and if he/she is not present, you give a mobile number a ring (details are situated on Warden shed) and they'll be with you in 5 minutes. Service is fantastic, and everyone is very helpful.

Overall experience was brilliant, couldn't fault it at all, and it's a place I'd highly recommend to all; families, groups of friends and couples. I know I will definitely be booking more activities for the near future!

Hey JFerris972, we're delighted you enjoyed your 'Glamping' adventure with us. Kayaking on Strangford Lough is truly amazing, we're very spoilt with our centres location! If you fancy some more kayaking I definitely would recommend you come along to one of our Paddle Power sessions were you will get the opportunity to learn some skills and try out the sea kayaks that we only use for instructed sessions. We have full moon sessions running next week 13th & 14th May at 6.30pm, but if this doesn't suit we are running them right up until October so just check our online calendar for further dates.
