Clearly capitalizing on the Quiet Msn theme as does the rest of the village.

Large mural in the shop.

Decent selection of typical food and drink.

Decent place to rest for a bit.

Friendly folks.

One of our favorite actresses, Maureen O'HARA is considered a daughter of this historic little town where the movie "The Quiet Man" was made. Stop by this little cafe and hear stories from the locals of the making of this movie. Don't forget to take a tour with the strolling Minstel and learn of the history of Ireland, the church's and the beautiful lay of the land during your tour. A must see if you are in the Castlebar area.

Enjoyed a piece of delicious carrot cake and a cup of tea in the afternoon. The shop was going to close in twenty minutes but the lady was really friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. Place was really clean and had plenty of yummy treats to pick from!

We called in to the cafe whilst on a road trip as we really needed a GOOD coffee!! We had stopped twice along the way but the coffee on offer in the two places was not good so we didn't buy it! We got to the beautiful village of Cong in Co.Mayo and tried this cafe! The staff were absolutely wonderful and the coffee was fantastic! They even made it in my travel mug for me so we could continue on our journey! There are so many wonderful gifts and clothing in the shop/cafe! It was a great find and honestly recommend it highly
