We are currently really enjoying our stay at Eagles Palace. The hotel never feels overcrowded and the staff are always happy to help with any query. There is loads of space on the beach (including a quiet zone) and a beautiful pool area with swim up bar. The spa is serene - most evening we have it to ourselves, and the treatments are so relaxing. So far we have eaten at the buffet (which is busy but has good food), the seafood restaurant on the beach (idyllic!) and we are visiting the fine dining restaurant tomorrow.

The only concern we have had during our stay is on the first night we were woken a number of times by noisy neighbours in the room next door, however we mentioned this to reception and it has not been a problem since.

Overall, our expectations have been exceeded. We haven’t managed to learn everyone’s name yet but Katerina is always smiling when welcoming us to dinner, and Eva went out of her way to arrange for a “nut free” desert plate for me, what a kind act. But really all the staff we have encountered clearly take pride in their work and create a wonderful atmosphere in the resort. I only wish we never have to leave!

We booked this lovely hotel for a week of R&R in early September following a busy few weeks on the run up to our son's wedding. We arrived in the afternoon after what is a fairly long transfer from Thessaloniki airport, but have to say the scenery en route is fabulous.
Check in was smooth however we did have to wait well over half an hour to be shown to our room which when you're tired and just wanting to relax was a bit of a pain. Others who arrived after us were shown to their rooms before us which was frustrating.
But when we did get to our room we were very pleased. We had a corner room with dual aspect windows (115B) with spectacular views out over the beach and coastline plus views over the gardens too. It was lovely waking up in the morning and being able to open the blinds and look out at the view through the windows.
Although not the largest room we've stayed in it was perfectly adequate; with a very comfortable huge bed, plenty of storage (though no drawers), a TV fixed to the wall and a coffee espresso machine. There was also a mini bar which we did occasionally use but as for all hotels it was an expensive way to buy drinks.
The bathroom was ok, but we did find the over bath shower awkward as much of the water sprayed over the floor (there is a floor drain tho) making getting out of the bath difficult and slippy. A mat is provided but it got drenched if you placed it next to the bath. Maybe walk in showers would be an option at some point in the future? That aside; the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.
We booked on a half board basis; and opted to upgrade to full board dine around at 59 euros extra per person per day for 5 days. Considering the prices in the a la carte restaurants, this was the most economical way of experiencing the cuisine in these restaurants. Most drinks were included too, including wine by the glass or a bottle of house wine with dinner. Other bottles of wine were not so you paid extra for these and they were quite expensive. Breakfast is buffet style in the main restaurant and was generally pretty good. Lots of options of both hot and cold food, with eggs freshly cooked to order at the cooking station (fried or omelettes) if you wanted.
We ate lunch in the beach restaurant most days enjoying a 2-3 course meal and then chose a different restaurant each evening to dine in. We loved Kamares and Vinum; Armyra was lovely being right down on the beach but we found the menu a little restricted and disappointing (just our taste preferences, not the hotel's fault).
The buffet restaurant was ok with a good selection of dishes (we dined here 2 nights) but glad we upgraded our package. The food was however only warm at best and some was decidedly cool which detracted from our experience here. As its a family resort, the buffet area gets quite noisy. It would be quite nice if they considered having an adults only dining zone for those of us who prefer a quieter dining experience....we love kids but its nice to have some time out sometimes. They supposedly operate a 2 sittings policy with kids supposed to eat at the earlier one however this did not seem to be enforced.
We ate in The Golden Hook in Ouranopolis one night (an option to eat at one of 3 tavernas in Ouranopolis once during your stay on the full board deal) which is a traditional taverna. We got the 8pm hotel courtesy bus in to the village (about a 10 minute drive) . Food was tasty and plentiful, service attentive and friendly too.
The beach area is fab; plenty of sunbeds to go around for everyone; we always found beds free at any time of the day. Having said that there was some 'towel leaving' for prime spots which is a bit annoying but by no means widespread. There are plenty of towels available throughout the day and a lovely touch are the drinks (citrus flavoured water) and fruit stations kept topped up by the hardworking beach stewards. There are watersports available - boat hire, paddle boarding and water-skiing. Plus a PADI scuba diving centre which we can highly recommend; the tuition is second to none and as a first time diver I felt very safe.
The beach bar and beach restaurant are both excellent.
This was our first visit to Halkidiki and based on this stay it won't be our last.

Wonderful people made our stay absolutely great in eagles palace. Angelina’s smile every morning in front of the breakfast buffet was welcoming and made us happy for the rest of the day. Nikos on the beach was great too, very eager to please, exceptionally polite and obliging. Water sports were fantastic and a special shout out to Pavlos and Michael.

Stayed here for 2 nights & when we arrived we were blown away with the hotel. This really is a great resort. We got checked in early and got taken to our room. We had booked a basic room so we weren’t expecting anything fancy. The rooms are fresh and clean with decent aircon but as we started to unpack we could hear every single word the family next door were speaking, that is how thin the walls are. While getting ready that night i could also hear every single song they were listening to through the wall. It didnt get much better at night. We went to bed at 11pm that night and despite requesting a double bed we realised it was just two singles pushed together. We were kept awake until about 3am by people having very loud “discussions” that we heard every word of and loud footsteps from the room above. The following morning we reported these issues to reception and asked if it was possible to upgrade the room and we would pay but they said the hotel was full which is understandable as i know it is high season. They said that they can make the bed into a proper double though which annoyed me because thats what it should have been from the start. The sound proofing in these rooms is so bad that on our second nights stay we were woken up at 6am with people shouting in french.
Overall i really liked this hotel, the facilities and restaurants are great. Theres loads to do, the staff are great and the quality of food and drinks available are very good (though very expensive) but if you value a good nights sleep this is maybe not the hotel for you.
I am disappointed that our room was so loud as when we first arrived at the hotel we were already talking about booking it again in a few weeks time but after a lack of sleep for 2 nights im afraid we won’t be back.

Dear Moons93,

Thank you for your kind review and we all are very excited to read your feedback on our food, service and location as well. It is always a great pleasure to receive special compliments for our service standards, our staff and our facilities.

As for the sound proofing that you are mentioning, we are really surprised as we are not used in that kind of complaints. So thank you for your feedback and let us apologize on this, as probably it had to do with the specif neighbors of yours.

Once again thank you for the time taken to post your comments online. We remain at your disposal and we hope to the chance to welcome you back in the future, maybe in another accommodation, away from disturbing neighbors.

Over 20 years ago we went for the first time to eagles palace and loved it.
We went back and fell in love again. The surroundings are so beautiful. Staff does everything to make you feel welcome.

Some points of critiques to: this is a five star hotel and the rooms ( outlook garden) where small, air-conditioning works not very well and for a shower you have to clime in the bath.

The breakfast was fantastic! We stayed half board but the evening buffet was not up to the standard you would expect. After trying it twice we went else where.
The restaurant at the beach was ok but nothing special and overpriced. We would have liked more Greek food. But saying that we ate at the restaurant 7 days just because of the view and staff.
There is a beautiful restaurant, with views to die for, and food really nice, close to the reception.

We loved staying there and will go back next year we hope
