Excellent holiday at portes beach. Really enjoyed our stay and the staff were friendly and professional. Also used the spa facilities and again very friendly , helpful staff. We joined in all the pool side games and enjoyed the evening entertainment, which was managed by the in house team. My 17 daughter was with us and she made friends with a group of teenagers from many nationalities which made her holiday. It's worth noting that it's a very quiet location with a few hotels along the beach but that's why we picked this location. The sea and sand and sun sets were gorgeous.

The hotel was good as the rooms are set in a garden that reaches down to the sea. The food was excellent. The hotel runs bus trips to the nearest towns but there is little to do there. Nea Moudania is the better place for shops and bars etc. There are no shops at Nea Potedaia and we walked back to the hotel along the beach. It is not recommended to walk along the road and there is a dual carriageway outside the hotel. The entertainment was good for both children and adults, which is and ideal hotel for the more mature person and young families. Not really for young adults.

Room Tip: The room was fine. There were a couple of things wrong in the room on arrival but were quickly remedied by the staff. Our room had a double bed, a single bed and a cot. The room was cleaned regularly.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks between 5th September and 19th September. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. Our room ,199,was large and comfortable with air conditioning. There was a nice little verandah you could sit out on and the swimming pool, the pool bar and the taverna were about a 30 second walk away.Food at all meals was excellent and varied.I would not bother with the hotel bus to nearby Nea Moudania as it is a working Greek town with nothing really for tourists. For 5 Euros (return) you can take the public bus to the beautiful seaside town of Afitos. Our tour operator, Jet 2,ran 2 excellent trips to Thessalonika and Mount Athos ,both of which I highly recommend. For us the only drawback to this first class hotel were the large number of mosquitoes, take plenty insect repellent with you!

Room Tip: Best rooms are down near the swimming pool.
