On a previous trip we got signed up with Diamond Resorts International. It all seemed very good until your wanted to book a holiday. The holiday calendar is only open 13 months in advance but we got what we wanted accommodation wise.

The resort is a stroll away from shops restaurants and of course the beach and promenade.

The apartment was well appointed with appliances and a welcome pack too so was not disappointed.

The resort has a huge gym underground and a nice size swimming pool with play area for children.

There is a pool bar for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast doesn't start until 9:00am so no good for the early risers if you want a cooked breakfast. There is a lovely restaurant for evening meals. We never tried it because there are so
many local restaurants to visit.

The resort is mainly geared around those who had signed up long term because everyone seemed to use it as a yearly club.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but wouldn't go back again.

Thank you for your comments.
You can always contact Diamond Resorts Customer Service Team if you struggling for availability and they may be able to assist. It is so important that members come to our resort and do not just experience the resort and explore the local environment. It is a shame to hear that you will not return but we wish you the best on the fabulous resorts that Diamond offer members.

One of our favourite locations on Tenerife..!!! Stayed in quiet places, stayed in noisy places, but this resort is just great. Lively without being in your face. Lots of places on the island involve lots of climbing (it is a mountain island after all) but Royal Sunset Beach is set in a relatively flat area.

We had a brilliant 2 bed apartment on the ground floor. Fully air conditioned, 2 televisions, dishwasher, 2 shower rooms and so spacious..!! We picked a road facing patio apartment because as well as a fully fitted hardstanding, you also get a large grassy area as well.

Literally 5 minute stroll to the beach front, massive numbers of shops, restaurants, etc., and a quality beach (full facilities) which is safe and fully protected by sea breaks.

Thanks for your feedback.
Yes, it tends to be quite around the resort but rightly said it does have a sense of a lively atmosphere and activities for members to get involved in. We do pride ourselves on the accommodation and glad that you enjoyed your stay. Please do come back again soon!

Me and my boyfriend stayed in a studio for 5 nights which we booked through Travel Republic. We got an amazing deal and did not expect this hotel to be a nice as it turned out to be. The place is very clean, and the rooms are more modern than shown in their pictures. The food bar is very nice, and reasonably priced. All staff members are so friendly and really helpful. The free massages are brilliant, and sun care advisor is also very helpful. I will be staying here again, and i have recommended it to my parents who booked to stay in July.

Room tip: ground floor apartments are beautiful and you dont have to worry about reserving sun bed, and are not nosiy

This is a timeshare resort which we booked through a third party travel agent. On arrival we were told there was "Bad news" The apartment we had booked months earlier was not available and we would have to spend the night at a sister resort. We were immediately guided into a taxi, without an apology, and sent to more downmarket place for the night. Clearly timeshare club members are prioritised over other guests...

After a few enquiries the following day we were told an apartment was available and allowed to return.

The resort itself is ok. The pool is fine, entertainment staff are enthusiastic, reception staff less so (unless trying to sell timeshares). It's a typical Brits abroad environment.

Our travel agent refunded the cost of our first night a few weeks later.
