After reading the reviews before we went, i have to say i was really concerned. Actually it wasnt that bad. Food was great and hotel nice and clean. There were a few youngsters but on the whole harnless. Not a lot to do at the resort though and probably is catered for the 18-30’s but if you happy to stay in the hotel and just, eat, drink and sunbathe then its fine.

Worst Riu Hotel we have ever stayed in. Good points food was nice, Hotel clean , most of the staff nice.
Now for the Bad points the complaints I have read in previous reviews I agree with .
This is the first hotel I have ever stayed in and not felt safe, in fact I did not leave the complex once as I normally would do due to the drunks wandering about all day shouting etc and chanting . I hated the nights listening to the same all night long wondering what was going on and if in fact it was going to spiral into trouble awful.
We witnessed a group of what appeared to be one female and three males playing loud music and looking drunk etc on the balcony of a room on the 2nd floor which overlooked the pool were children were swimming and playing ,and yes the pool bar was awful full of drinkers all the time . I agree Riu need to re advertise this hotel it is very misleading , we would not have gone had we realised it was going to be so bad .
We won’t be using Riu again , if the holiday had been cheap I could part understand but it wasn’t . The reply’s that I have read from the managers of this hotel are just as bad they no what the problems are but just turning a blind eye to them at the expense of customers . We found the Spa awful definitely would not use that we didn’t use the Gym didn’t particularly like the fact that it was sort of basement , indoor pool was only open for a short time in the afternoon .
So to sum this up no we would not return either to that hotel or the area we wanted a relaxing holiday it was anything but that.

This was our first all inclusive holiday as a family and the food was really good, lots of choice for us and the staff were always welcoming and polite. The hotel itself was really clean and really close to the beach which was fab, only negative was the location in the evenings was not really family orientated but we just stayed at the hotel instead. The aquarium and Palma well worth a visit and not too far, we would defo go to a Riu hotel again!

Polite and helpful staff. Clean hotel. Our room was very comfortable. We had the all inclusive option. Food served at the hotel was always really good. Free water at the front desk was a nice touch.

Only thing that we didn't enjoy too much was so called "entertainment" during evening time. During our 7 days stay the shows were kind of boring, music a bit lame and it was mostly older people enjoying it.

The pools were usually full of drunk germans so we were trying to avoid them.

Overall, not much to complain.

Arriving at the hotel was promising considering the recent reviews we had read prior to leaving. All quiet on the local front and no sign of drunken groups of men around. We were greeted by 2 friendly receptionist who were very pleasant to start with. However, we weren't aware of the local tax we had to pay so simply asked what this was for and at this point the receptionist turned very frosty as if we had inconvenienced her in some way. We paid what was due and proceeded to the dining room as it was nearing lunchtime. Good selection and all looked very fresh, this continued throughout our week stay there was always plenty available. The majority of the staff in the dining area were friendly, and always helpful. The only downside I would mention is that we continually had to ask for water, as the only water available on tap was sparkling. It would have been nice if we could have had a jug on the table like most hotels provide. The drinks on tap were ok but watery. The rooms were very spacious and clean and the maid came everyday. However the walls are very thin so be warned. The pool area - yes you do have to get up and save a sunbed if you want sun all day if you are not bothered by your spot then sunbeds were always available. The pool itself was warm, and I have to say that during our weeks stay it didn't appear to be cleaned so had a constant film across it. The hotel residents were mainly German groups of men/boys who thought nothing of spending morning noon and night drinking thereselves into a stupor. luckily the pool bar is in the corner area and partly secluded with small bushes so they didn't really disturb us however as the day progressed the noise got louder and watching them trying to get out of the pool and walk back to the main part of the hotel did provide daily entertainment. I did feel sorry for the hotel staff as the majority of them work really hard in keeping the hotel clean and tidy and didn't deserve to be spoken to the way some residents did. The hotel however, does need to decide on the clientele they wish to attract as it simply doesn't work with trying to mix families, older couples and young groups of people together. We kept ourselves to ourselves and although it was a nice holiday I wont be returning to the hotel nor the area the hotel is located in. Simply not for me.

Room tip: keep your fingers crossed on who you get for neighbours
