WE have done this walk for several years taking a taxi to Puerto Calero and walking back to Puerto del Carmen. Generally over rough ground to start but once you get to the local boundary between the 2 towns, the path is well defined all the way back. Only 1 steep gully to negotiate and going this way you go down the zig zag path that leads from/to the port at Puerto del Carmen that could be a slog going south.
Pleasant by the sea. Would recommend wearing shoes not flip flops.
Not suitable for wheelchairs or those with poor walking ability due to the difficulty they would find negotiating the ravine even though there are rough steps.
