Owner description: Like many places in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village, and the old harbour is still a delightful place to visit, boasting some excellent bars, restaurants and excursions running out of the harbour.

This is a great place to go after your evening meal if you fancy a cocktail and a boogie! Good for all ages. Music videos old and new and plenty of room to dance even though this is a bar not a ‘disco’ ( showing our age! ) special thanks to ‘Nacor’ our lovely barman who definitely knows how to pour a good Gin & Tonic/Vodka & Tonic! He also smells wonderful!. Only negative is the ladies toilets, there are only 2 in this fairly big bar and they weren’t too clean

As far as marinas go there isnt a lot to shout about with regards to the marina itself, some nice colourful boats and the water taxi goes from here.

What it does have is some wonderrful waterside restaurants and hostelrys which afford lovely views over the ocean, some nice shops to peruse in.

I would imagine at night its a lively place.

The old town and harbour area are a lovely place to while away some relaxing time. It's a warm and relaxed atmosphere, great views with lots of gloom bars and restaurants. The water bus from the harbour down coast is worth a punt too

This a lovely place to stay. We had an apartment. The only thing I would say you need to able to walk. No good for very elderly it is quite hilly.
