These were the worst apartments we stayed in in fifteen years coming to Lanzarote. We asked to be moved to the other side of the pool three times but told we had booked a promo room and could not be upgraded.

Room Tip: Rooms on left of pool get no sun and are very cold

We are a family of 4, children aged 6yrs and 11 months. 1st room we were allocated was room number 168 and from opening the door I felt like going back to the airport. It was disgusting, the smell was unbearable of stale cigarettes, it was so dark as hardly any of the lights worked, the shower gave 30 seconds of hot water. The room itself was freezing, smelly and dark. The next morning I requested to change room due to the smell and other factors already mentioned. The lady on reception was nice enough but said she couldn’t do anything as she needed to speak to management. To cut a long story short we were moved to room 244 which was at the very back of the complex up 2 flights of stairs with a buggy. This room was still the pits but better than the 1st room. Here the door rattled every night with the wind. The fridge didn’t work. The kettle didn’t have a boil off point. The bath again had no taps to bath the baby. There was rust on all of the balcony. The windows are so old with gaps that it was freezing. We went out at 6.30am and didn’t return until 7pm (babies bedtime).
After 5 days of being in this hell hole I went to reception and checked out 2 days early and went to stay with friends close by. After giving the reception the list of complaints I didn’t even receive an apology - it was like she expected it.
1 word of advice - just don’t stay here.

Room Tip: 167 does not get the sun at all and was very cold when we were there, the weather is not the hotels fault though

Stayed a week b & b here end of January. Allocated room 220, first-floor 1 bed apartment. Basic facilities but enough to get by. Overlooked pool and being south-facing balcony benefits from sun almost all day.
Breakfast was good, eggs cooked fresh, bacon, sausage, beans under heated lamps. Plenty of bread, jams, cold meats, cheese, fruit, buns, cakes, with hot and cold drinks from machines.
Bar serves 'Tropical' lager at 2.90 euros a pint. A walk of 3-4 minutes up the hill brings you to a large Lidl, open from 8.30am, where you can stock up on all your food and drink requirements.
Pool area is large with plenty of sunbeds and a lifeguard on constant watch, opening from around 10am until 5ish.
Quite a few steps up to hotel reception from street-level, but these can be avoided by taking the lift.
Bus-stop opposite the hotel takes you to the airport(only a handful of buses daily though) or to Costa Teguise, a resort the other side of the airport and just 3 euros each way.
This complex is similar to many here, quite basic and in need of updating but fine for a week's holiday.
If you have the chance to choose your room I would recommend being on the sunny side of the pool. Rooms 101-120(ground floor) and rooms 201-220(first floor) are perfect for sunbathing on the balcony from early morning to late afternoon.

Room Tip: Sunny side of pool for all-day balcony sunbathing. Rooms 101-120 or 201-220 fit the bill.

When booking see if you can get one of the upgraded rooms, ours in desperate need of refurbishment, cracked tiles on floor, rusty fittings, peeling paint on balcony, scruffy bathroom. Cleaned daily except Monday and Friday, no complaints about that. We had a north facing balcony so no sun at any time of the day. Flat screen TV but if you want to use it it’s about £3 a day. Safe use is €2.25 a day. Self catering so didn’t use the restaurant. Cold and very windy when we were there so didn’t use the pool but other people were. Quiet at night. About 150m from Lidl which was great, no need to pay over the odds at small supermarket when you arrive, Hyperdino just down the road too. Not too far to the beach front but uphill coming back, not a problem for most people.
