We have only booked here as the description said that the pool is heated, well it is not, so don't expect to go to the water as it's freezing at this time of the year. The place is very basic and very dated with room smelling of smoke (all curtains and upholstery must have not been washed for ages). It's nothing special and if you are unlucky like us you will get a bedroom window overlooking a relatively busy road, so earplugs or else. Very disappointed as was hoping for so much more for almost 80 quid a night.

Firstly, I should clarify in advance that we really enjoyed our stay here. Location is good - far enough away from the strip for it to be quiet, but close enough if that's your thing. Rooms were clean, and had all everything we needed - cleaners also came in very regularly.

Pool area is nice - although I'd echo what some others said in terms of the loungers being grabbed very early, so you can be stuck getting decent ones. Snack bar seems to have premium pricing though. Some of the tiles are treacherously wet near the apartments - and inside reception.

However, the bar area has zero atmosphere and isn't a pleasant place to sit for a drink. All the couch type seats are lined up in front of the TV screens, and there was seldom anyone there - be it staff or guests. Premier league matches were advertised as being shown on the Saturday, but again the bar was abandoned come kick off time. Maybe its staffed differently during the summer months.

Public area toilets were definitely clean first thing in the morning - but by later on in the day they started getting filthy.

Overall though as I said, the place is nice.

Room Tip: Get a room as far from reception as possible.

This was our first stay at Plaza Azul and hope to return . Just the holiday we needed , comfy beds and a great special breakfast at the pool bar . Ideally situated I have asthma and managed the short incline to the apartments easily . The cacti displays around the complex are stunning and the staff at the complex are great. We tried to extend our stay in the room because of a late flight , due to complex being fully booked our request couldn't be accommodated , however we could store our luggage and the complex provided us with a shower room , including towels and toiletries -- Brilliant .

We have stayed here before, the apartments are clean, tidy, well located and perfectly adequate for a lazy holiday. You get the usual sunbed reservers up at 6am with their towel, shoes and inflatables plonked on "their" sunbeds.... so that they can use them in the afternoon.

Normally I would give a higher rating but for the so called entertainment imposed upon guests. Today Friday 20th October the amateurish DJ managed to clear the pool area with a mix of novelty tunes and pool games that a 5 year old would find tedious.

Tonight we have to ensure the horror of karaoke, fortunately we will be will be going out so won't have to listen to the dross.

If entertainment is your thing I'm sure you will love it, if you can tolerate entertainment Plaza Azul is a good place to stay, if you find this form of entertainment like nails being dragged across a black board..... avoid the place

The room was just the write size for us and was kept clean and tidy. The pool and surrounding area are also kept to a good standard and pool was lovely. Only three streets up from the beachfront and the staff are so friendly and 24 hr reception desk is also handy. Overall would recommend these apartments as nice and quiet for a relaxing week away and would gladly go back for another stay. My only one critic was the wifi comes and goes at times but hey i didn't go on holiday to play on my phone at all times.
