From start to finish we enjoyed a wonderful holiday. The checkin is sometimes slow, but friendly. Always ensure you're getting/asking for a nice room ; it's worth visiting the room before accepting it.

We had a week, coming from a neighbour country, and had a lovely time at Turtle Bay. The rooms were basic but good, and whatever we needed help with we got help with. (AC was dripping and they tried to fix it, but we ended up just using just the fan and the sea breeze anyway). The only thing I missed was a small table on the balcony/sitting area. We had 2 days of grey/rainy weather, so we only got to do 1 dive with on-site dive centre, so we'll be coming back for more! If you're into the activities, there's plenty to do all day: table tennis, darts, water polo, aqua gym, beach volley etc. The beach had a lot of seaweed when we were there, but it didn't bother us, and we could swim and canoe and enjoy the waves anyway.

Room Tip: I loved the sea view rooms, but they are closer to the nightly entertainment. It didn't bother u...

This place was perfect for a few days break with all inclusive meals and no worries. The service was top notch. the Dive Center was very professional and attentive. The rooms weren't fancy; however, we didn't spend much time in the room except to shower and sleep. The grounds our beautiful.

Many of my colleagues have raved about this place so my expectations were probably higher than they should have been. In the end, you either love it or you don't. It is what it is - a family friendly all inclusive place on the beach. My son loved it as he had other kids to play with, the pool is nice, and the beach is great for sand castles. There is a kids club but the activities aren't always geared to the younger crowd (Monopoly) so my five year old didn't make much use of it. I found the resort to be a bit shabby and tired, particularly the rooms. Our air conditioner was faulty and we had to turn it off after a few hours as it started making terrible noises. There is almost always food available which is great for kids but the food is mediocre - buffet style - with only a few vegetarian options. You can always order a pizza. Alcoholic beverages are included but the liquor isn't the best quality - again - you get what you pay for. The beach itself is set in a bay but you have to go down a steep, sand-bag reinforced slope to get to the water. It isn't the prettiest beach in Kenya. That said, it is a great jumping off point for the coral reefs and you can easily arrange for a boat to take you snorkeling which is well worth it as you will "find Dory".

Room Tip: We were next to the reception, as far away from the restaurant and pool as we could be which wasn...

Well, here we are again for our second extended cost this year. Anyone who is thinking about coming to Turtle Bay Beach Club and is hesitant for a variety of reasons should get here as soon as possible. Reasons as follows.
1. Guaranteed sunshine in a very pleasant climate.
2. The very best beaches in the world.
3. Hotel is just great for families, singles and couples.
4. Food and service in the hotel is excellent.
5. Plenty to do both in the hotel and surrounding area.
6. Very safe, you can ignore the occasional detrimental media stories about the political situation in Kenya. You will be very safe and secure here, both in the hotel and outside.
7. You can be assured of a welcome second to none. Kenyan people are the most friendly in the world.
8. Value for money. You won't get a better holiday anywhere.
9. If you want a safari experience wait until you get here to book, you will save a lot of money.

Last but not least. I have no financial interest inTurtle Bay Beach Club. The above is my own unsolicited option based on more than twenty years of visits here.
