We booked this Hotel after reading all the good reviews and were not disappointed. We stayed in a club room on the 3rd floor with stunning views over the sea. The Hotel and rooms are basic but very clean. I was a little apprehensive when we discovered the main restaurant was buffet but was amazed to discover Chateaubriand Steak and other outstanding dishes so freely available. WE booked the Blue Turtle which is defiantly worth a visit if you like Lobster as it was a huge portion and so tender. We booked a 2 day Trip with Tunda Tours www.tundatourssafaris.com or araxman17@yahoo.com as I had contacted Abdul before we arrived. Please see my full comments on their review. We only wanted to do a 2 day tour with our 9 year old so booked TSAVO EAST. The trip was excellent and we saw so much and for such a cheap price compared to other tour operators. We also booked a boat trip and were given a free Malindi trip. These trips are a must with Abdul as compared to other trips, they dont offer as much. Our Overall visit to Turtle Bay was faultless and I would recommended it to all families. The boys on the beach do approach you but they are great and when the tide is out they take you around the rock pools where you will discover Lion fish, Puffer fish etc. I even held a Puffer fish which was an experience in itself. There is nothing bad I can say about this Hotel as nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. I must say a BIG THANKS to Ratamu who gives 1st class service and Moses on the Fresh fruit. An AMAZING holiday and Thank you Turtle Bay.

We just spent three weeks at Turtle Bay Beach Club and we loved it. The staff was fantastic and we felt pampered in every way. The food was good and well prepared.

We noticed that there were not so many beach boys as there were around other resorts especially in the area nearby the Island of Love. Anyhow once they see that you are there for an extended time, they tend to leave you alone.

We did some great snorkeling, unfortunately the water does not have the same clarity as we found in the Red Sea, but it was very nice.

We also did a three day safari which was great at Tsavo East and Amboseli, there were lots of animals... but next time we’d opt for a plane ride instead to get there and back.

The weather was great and hot. It was always nice with a beautiful breeze that kept us comfortable.

An upside to this hotel is that it has a very international clientele which does not favor any one nationality. The surrounding beach is huge which allows you to walk for kilometers and eventually reach the Garoda Resort and not even bump into a living soul.

In short I certainly recommend Turtle Bay Beach Club.

We booked after reading the great reviews and we were glad we did. We booked with Thomas cook from Manchester but when we picked up the tickets we found out we were going via Gatwick with Monarch and we agree with the previous review it was terrible. We had a 2 1/2 hr journey from the airport to TBBC but it is well worth it.
The hotel is well maintained and spotless clean. We went for the beach walk most mornings with the fun crew as it was a good way to meet new people and find out information about the place and to burn off a few calories as the food and drink is very good and plentiful. The staff are lovely and they work really hard. Nothing is too much trouble. We visited the a la Carte and the meals and service was excellent. Its well worth a visit.
We booked a 2 day safari when we arrived with Joseph and our excellent driver Livingston and we had so much fun. We saw lots of animals and I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did. It was amazing. They also took us out for a day in Malindi so we could see more of their wonderful country.I would recommend him. His E mail is joseoti2002@yahoo.com if you want to book direct.
The entertainment was good and varied. We had acorbats, dancers and some excellent groups, even a fashion show by the pool one afternoon. Some of them used to have a market after their show where they would sell their goods. We got some souveniers at very reasonable prices. We met some wonderful people who made our holiday really special. If you are thinking about visiting TBBC don't hesitate book it today. we can't wait to return.

Our fourth time to TBBC, and fifth to Kenya.

The flight with Monarch was rubbish, never again with Monarch, the 15kgs baggage allowance is pathetic, as a SCUBA diver I took my own kit as I prefer to use my own wet suit fins etc, at Mombasa on the return flight they wanted to charge £12 a kilo for extra baggage! Why is it a fat person can go with 15kgs, and I go with an extra 5 kgs of dive gear and have to pay 60 quid extra!? The food on the flight was awful. the in flight entertainment was poor too. After flying with Thompson or First Choice on previous holidays, they make Monarch look very sub standard cheep and nasty!

TBBC as always was fab... weve been to Kenya five times over the last 13 years, four times to TBBC. many of the waiters are the same from our first trip in 1999. TBBC is as always very chilled out, everyone very friendly. Food is good, in particular the omlets cooked by John for breakfast! Also the pancakes at 4pm wow! The curries are wonderful too. The pizza resturant is good, all waiter service, most of this resturant is all inclusive, but try the Masia steaks, for an extra £7 or so, they are great!

There are a few people on this site grumbling about repeaters being treated better than first timers...well we've been four times now, and I have to say, we didn't, or never have had any better service or treatment than anybody else....a few years ago on our 2nd trip to TBBC, we did get a bowl of fruit and some sparkling wine, but for our 3rd and 4th trips nothing extra..oh, we did this time, we got a T shirt each! Although we were invited to a special meal with the manager. Of course they look after repeaters, they want everyone to be repeaters, its good business! If everybody felt disgrunteled about repeaters being treated better, then they wouldn't get repeaters! Every one is treated the same, it may pay to tip, if you have a waiter that is looking after you well, then after a few days slip them a fiver

The new 'quiet pool' is fantastic! Loved it, waiter service all day long, lazy, lazy, lazy!! Jacuzzi, pool attached, all very nice.

The diving was good, great fun, first dive, breakfast at 7 am, meet at dive centre at 7.30 am, (2 minuites walk from restaraunt) kit up and dive at about 8am, back in for 9.30, and a second dive if you wanted to was meet at 10, dive at 10.30. Nitrox is available for about £3 extra. Each dive is approx £20 + a daily charge of $15 entry to the marine park. All the diving is on reefs, max 30 meters, water temp 27 deg c, max 60 mins. Big Hi to Marcel and Arnold, Arnold has razor sharp eyes and spots things I would just miss... great dive center, all good guys.

Went on safari, booked with my mate Dan on the beach. He'll look after you and give you a good time... went to Salt Lick in Tsavo West, saw most animals, a great experiance.

As regards the beach boys, yes they will try to sell you stuff, but they are fine if you tell them you are not interested, but thier stuff they sell is good and always worth a look.

We really like TBBC, so much so, we plan to go back next year!
