Italy is my favourite country for food, but sometimes I do feel the balance between traditional and modern could shift slightly to allow a little more innovation. But not at Dieci Sedie - this place gets the balance exactly right. As Anglo-Italian foodies, we are generally pretty critical, but we absolutely loved this place - the informal and modern atmosphere, the personal reception, the flat-priced menu (fabulous value at €40 per head)... But, of course, most of all, Pietro Raspini's imaginative and unfailingly delicious food which through a succession of courses (all fish - don't come here if you don't like fish!) never failed to put a smile on our faces. Absolutely first class, and better (and so much more fun!) than many Michelin-starred places. Tanti auguri al chef!

Really excellent, thoughtful cooking in a charming corner of pretty Tuscania, (visit San Pietro and Santa Maria Maggiore). Fixed menu of fishy delights, lost track of the number of dishes that came out. All were delicious. €40 each for a feast including wine, water, pudding, coffee and digestif. A real treat, thank you!

Going to "dieci sedie" is more than going to an avarage restaurant.
It is an intimate food experience.

Pietro, the chef, gather daily the fresh fish that he cooks and based on the catch of the day he decides the 13 courses ( yes, you read it right!) menù. Hence the quality is extremily high, the fish can't be any fresher and the menù is never boring. The price is fixed (40 €) and include everything: 13 courses (good portions, not like the small ones that you get when you go for this type of menù.) wine selected for the menù, beverages, dessert, amaro or grappa at the end and, obviously, an espresso.

As the stated in the name, the restaurant has only 10 available chairs (so better booking in advance. I suggest outside if the weather is good.) and this formula creates a cozy and familiar environment that make you able to become great friends with the people sit at the other tables.

The food is more than amazing. All the courses are extremely interesting featuring high quality and fresh ingredients mixed perfectly together. They include both traditional italian dishes and some "modern" version of typical food dishes and I can assure you that it will be very difficult to find a course that you will not like.

The service is outstanding. It is very familiar without being pushy and between one course and the next one you will be able to speak with the chef who is reguraly coming outside to check if everything is going good.

One of the best dinner I have ever had!
Highly recommended!

We came early, being the first guests this evening; the fixed menue was an endless treat of creative Italiam seafood cooking which you will not find the like of where ever you come. We tasted 16 (yes; sixteen!) courses incl three desserts. The starters were delicious and gradually we entered a host of tasteful main courses. The creme brulee' rounded off a first class evening in Tuscania.
