How to capture a perfect evening? This is no ordinary restaurant.

A single table for four, set immaculately beneath the sunset and then the stars in the peaceful valley on a summer evening. Hay bales for the children to jump on and no one to tut at them for playing.

The company of Federico and Chaz who make you feel like welcome friends and talk as much or as little as you like, informing you about the provenance of all the good, organic, home grown ingredients. You can almost feel the food doing you good and it tastes utterly delicious. Seasonal menus with American chef Chaz's personal touch. Sadly, he left in August... Let's hope his recipes live on.

The wine, bread and olive oil were perfect - the children loved their home made pasta.

More than a restaurant, we stayed two nights and loved the whole set up - simple, delightful accommodation, horses, the farm, scenery and as for those Etruscan tombs...

It brings you back to yourself. Thank you to Lorenzo, Federico and Chaz and the kids for a happy time.

This place has saved me from the city so many times. Here I have been hosted and amused by kindness, beauty, familiarity. Through the gate the visitor enters a whole new world, ruled by nature. You can take long walks and find mediterranean woods, etruscan graves, caves, horses, old trees, a spring, so much beauty and history. The olive oil is divine, animals and vegetable grow free and are so fresh (and so good). The building where the rooms are has been renewed and built by hand by the owners, and you can feel it in the way every detail is taken care of. Dinners are a joyful experience of the senses. I remember my grumpy father smiling again, and that was the best thing that could ever happen. If you eat or wake up here, overlooking the valley, it is impossible not to be happy.

I enjoyed 2 dinners that were simply the best meals I had on my entire trip to Italy. Chaz the chef created memorable meals with a light hand, letting the freshness of the ingredients come through. Prepared primarily with ingredients from the farm, the dinners tasted as good as the landscape looked. Delicious! Truly a special experience.

I live in the area and although I've known Casa Caponetti for years, I hadn't eaten at their restaurant where they recently brought in a young chef to up their game.

Well, it worked. This is a great spot and I'm not surprised at the excellent reviews.

The setting is stunning- a reminder of why we picked beautiful Tuscania to live. Great views over a green valley.

The chef is not Italian but definitely cooks in the Italian tradition while exploring both old as well as new influences.

I wish I could keep this a secret but given that it takes a bit of planning to get to this will not be overrun any time soon. :-) I'll be back.

Megliore piatto di maiale :) best pork main corse and the view is amazing ;) for 30 euro fixed menù you get even more as all food is local and biological. Vegetarian option was also nice. To visit every week :) as the chef changes the menu upon seasonality and avialability of the growing fruit and vegge.
