How to capture a perfect evening? This is no ordinary restaurant.
A single table for four, set immaculately beneath the sunset and then the stars in the peaceful valley on a summer evening. Hay bales for the children to jump on and no one to tut at them for playing.
The company of Federico and Chaz who make you feel like welcome friends and talk as much or as little as you like, informing you about the provenance of all the good, organic, home grown ingredients. You can almost feel the food doing you good and it tastes utterly delicious. Seasonal menus with American chef Chaz's personal touch. Sadly, he left in August... Let's hope his recipes live on.
The wine, bread and olive oil were perfect - the children loved their home made pasta.
More than a restaurant, we stayed two nights and loved the whole set up - simple, delightful accommodation, horses, the farm, scenery and as for those Etruscan tombs...
It brings you back to yourself. Thank you to Lorenzo, Federico and Chaz and the kids for a happy time.
