Very nice setting, tables outside overlooking Massa. We had a table for five. Starters were really good. Raw fish, fish carpaccio, lobster, all excellent quality. We had five different pasta's and the quality was fantastic. My shrimp pasta was a highlight, but everybody had great pasta's. Then the mixed bag turned up...
My beef fillet was completely overcooked. I was taken back to prepare a new one, but this took them more than 20 minutes (for a rare beef fillet..). It was now so raw that it became uneatable. The rest of the table had finished their main courses already a long tim ago. Their main courses were ok, but all the sauces were quit heavy. Overall waiting time was too long anyway, it took almost 2 hours before the main courses were served.

So, at the one hand great starters and pasta, but long waiting time and less happy with the main courses. Prices are very reasonable.

Il Trillo certainly isn't the cheapest restaurant in that location, but it serves really good, fresh and tasty food. Personally, I thought the waiting in between courses was a bit too long, but the overall experience was still great.

Beatifull location outsider serving. So nice food (Well prepared, tasty and composed on the plate) Nice Breda and complimenteries from the chef. A well spend night. High end pricing AS well, but valmue for money.

Another hidden gem tucked away outside Massa and not for from beach resorts near Forti di Marmi. Superb atmosphere, lovely helpful staff, beautiful surroundings and wonderful menu and quality food. Great pastas and fish. Excellent choice of wines. Nice outdoor patio. Well worth the journey and the difficult parking. Surprised to see that they have a branch in Chelsea Londonas well.

When you arrive in the front of the restaurant, don’t turn around! Just walk in and at the end of the room there is the garden with lemon trees! Perfect ambiance!
