The room was comfortable, the food was sumptuous, the pool was well maintained. The staff was excellent and accommodating and gracious.
Michelle was an excellent cook we enjoyed every meal

Half Moon made is possible to do a large friends and family getaway with little to no effort. Debbie, Phillip and Paulette made everything easy, they showed their expert skills that is for sure between the fantastic meals we had, the impeccably clean rooms and bathrooms and the continues movements from Phillip to ensure that no matter which villa we were at, everyone had what they wanted. And the property is beautiful and has so much for both adults and children to do! Can't wait to do it again!
This family get-away/vacation was our third to Jamaica and our third stay at Half Moon in St. James Parish! We arrived on July 17 and departed on July 27. We stayed at Villa 55 and were treated with genuine warmth and kindness — the Jamaican way.
Our butler, Rennis, made absolutely sure things were organized and carefully planned. Not to mention, we had plenty of delicious food to keep our stomachs full after a long day of literally doing as little as possible — relaxing mon. Denise was not only our chef, but our Jamaican mother who prepared all of our meals with joy and love. The Jamaican provincial meals were some of the best I’ve ever had in Jamaica! Dezreen, our house keeper, made certain our rooms were clean, clothes were laundered and hung in the closets, and the room was nice and cool every time we came home.
The 400-acre estate was essentially empty of guests due to the COVID-19 pandemic — and that was a shame — because we always felt like everything was super clean and sanitized. The staff made intentional efforts to make us feel comfortable and at total ease.
Simply stated — Half Moon did a wonderful job under black swan global circumstances. We are very happy and can’t wait to come back home to Jamaica and Half Moon very soon!!
The villa was beautiful and the Half Moon staff is what made it unique, comfortable and an experience. The property takes you back to a different period in time — one of old-world architecture coupled with the warmth and kindness of the Jamaican people.

I had the pleasure of playing the Half Moon golf course this past weekend and enjoyed a fantastic round of golf.
The level of service is of the highest standard and it starts from the moment you walk into the pro shop, to the changing rooms, practice facility, the golf carts and of course the golf course itself. All the staff were attentive and friendly. And let me tell you how great it was to be offered a cold towel to wipe my face after playing 18 holes!
I had the pleasure of meeting the Director of Golf, Kevyn Cunningham. First class individual who clearly knows how to manage a golf facility. The course perfectly compliments the quality of the hotel itself.
I look forward to playing more rounds at Half Moon and enjoy Jamaican golf at its finest!
