I just checked out....in the dark, and “maintenance” was working on it. If you read past reviews this has happened in the past. Are they trying to save a couple of bucks by shutting the electricity for guests at 3:15am? I had a 7:00AM flight, and had to get ready in the dark with the heat, and take the staff stairs because the elevator wasn’t working. This is a 5-Star Hotel not a Motel. For the money being spent I expect a higher level of service to the customer. I was here with a friend, and on Monday she found a hair in her habachi at the Japanese restaurant. Yesterday, I went to the buffet and when I asked what was in the pasta the server stuck his fingers in the food to check, and left the piece of pasta in the dish. Disgusting and atrocious to say the least. The carpet is filthy, and there are signs of age in the room, such as the thermostat falling. I was also locked in the spa because I didn’t leave at exactly 7:00pm, and had to wait 10 minutes to get released. I worked out at the gym every morning with no air conditioning and the attendant couldn’t be bothered to bring towels for the guests. Again, this is not what I expect from a 5 Star hotel, and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Ever! Please save your money. The only thing I can rave about is the Jamaican sunset, Jamaican Smile, beach and pool staff, and beach buffet.
