We have visited this resort every year (sometimes twice a year) since 2010. The staff is exceptional! They did everything possible to make this vacation stress free. The resort is kept immaculately clean and the beach is beautiful. Top food and drink quality. We really enjoyed seeing all the long term employees and meeting the new ones! We look forward to our return next year!

Room is very clean. Get an ocean view room if you like to look at the ocean. Food is terrific with a great variety to meet all dietary needs or restrictions. Loungers always available at the beach or the pool. Staff can’t do enough to keep guests happy.

Room tip: Select ocean view or ocean front for best view.

I just checked out....in the dark, and “maintenance” was working on it. If you read past reviews this has happened in the past. Are they trying to save a couple of bucks by shutting the electricity for guests at 3:15am? I had a 7:00AM flight, and had to get ready in the dark with the heat, and take the staff stairs because the elevator wasn’t working. This is a 5-Star Hotel not a Motel. For the money being spent I expect a higher level of service to the customer. I was here with a friend, and on Monday she found a hair in her habachi at the Japanese restaurant. Yesterday, I went to the buffet and when I asked what was in the pasta the server stuck his fingers in the food to check, and left the piece of pasta in the dish. Disgusting and atrocious to say the least. The carpet is filthy, and there are signs of age in the room, such as the thermostat falling. I was also locked in the spa because I didn’t leave at exactly 7:00pm, and had to wait 10 minutes to get released. I worked out at the gym every morning with no air conditioning and the attendant couldn’t be bothered to bring towels for the guests. Again, this is not what I expect from a 5 Star hotel, and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Ever! Please save your money. The only thing I can rave about is the Jamaican sunset, Jamaican Smile, beach and pool staff, and beach buffet.

Your comments have left us in a state of complete disappointment at the fact that we had inconvenienced your stay based on your complaints about maintenance issues and food. It is never easy to hear that our guests were not pleased with their stay, and we humbly ask that you accept our sincere apologies for the issues you faced. We often encourage guests that while they are in house and have any problems, they may visit our Public Relations office so that we can see how best we can alleviate the impact of the issues you are facing. Once again, we apologize for the inconveniences you experienced on your visit.

Despite the issues mentioned, we are pleased to hear that you favored the warm Jamaican atmosphere, beach and pool staff, and the beach buffet.

My wife and I visited the Iberostar Grand. It was my first time visiting Jamaica. We were treated with the highest priority at all times. The resort was immaculate. Very very clean. The buffet breakfast and dinner was dynamite. The lunch on the beach was excellent. The wait staff and bartenders were great. Same with all of the people that worked there. Everything was top notch. Thank you again Iberostar for having the best employees.

A little late writing this review but better late than never. My husband and I returned in early Feb after our second visit to IGRH. We had the privilege of being checked in by Tracey—she set the tone for a fantastic week with her friendly, professional manner. Our upgraded oceanfront room was very much appreciated as was the special surprise she organized for our 30th anniversary. Our days were spent on the beautiful beach with the best server—Kasheena❤️—serving us our delicious drinks. All of our meals were delicious—not a single complaint about the whole week. Some people believe you should always try new places but we feel-why give up perfection? We are already watching for deals to go back next winter!!!!

Room tip: Really don’t believe there is a bad room—love both the ocean view and the ocean front.
