We booked this Lodge for the 3 night break as we were attending a Wedding at the Hotel. There was 4 of us plus a baby. The setting is beautiful and the weather was fantastic for late september /october. On initially walking into the Lodge it looks great but not so good when you look a little closer.
We had asked for a Travel Cot and Highchair. The Highchair never did appear even after asking a couple of times.
We reported that the freezer was frozen solid and was leaking as the door did not shut properly. It was nearly 20hrs later and after another request before anyone came to look and all was stated was that it needed defrosting!!!! We were disappointed that we could not use it.
We also had to remake the beds when we arrived as they were shoddily made with the quilt cover in one room inside out. The settees needed putting on a bonfire. Extremely uncomfortable with no support and in a bad state!!! Lastly, the decking hadn't been swept in weeks, full of leaves ,cobwebs, dead spiders etc.
Saying all that, they supplied a gas Barbeque free of charge and we had a lovely weekend. The setting is brilliant.
