Excellent place to have fun, food and some drinks with friends. Owner, staff and people are so very nice and helpful. Maden us feel right at home. Food was made all fresh. Saw him actually pick some herbs to out in the food. Totally a place to visit and spend some time. Viro is a hidden gem.

This is a restaurant in a beautiful garden with a lovely shady terrace. Food is cooked on ordering and it comes out to you still bubbling in the pan! Delicious food at very reasonable prices. The host speaks excellent English and French. Park in front of the church and you can access the restaurant via the garden from right behind the church. Fantastic location if you are visiting Phaestos.

We ate here twice while staying near Vori and would definitely recommend a visit. The food is fantastic - definitely try the Cretan Salad and the stuffed courgette flowers (flowers not always available so grab them if offered - stuffed with rice) The owner appears offhand but was very genuine which I really liked. Excellent value and a huge thank you to all the staff - you can see into the kitchen and despite every meal being cooked from scratch it always looked calm and organised. A great place to take time over a meal and relax.

We have been to Crete (Agia Galini) three times now and it would not be the same without a visit to our favourite taverna. The setting, the food, and the lovely couple that run it are Great! A very quiet tucked away little village is where you can find this little gem. A perfect stop off after a visit to Timbaki market, on a Friday. You can expect us back for sure!

First we didn't find this tiny restaurant but we were lucky that we had managed it. One of the best food ever! We had lamb chops but not one or two little pieces: we got 6 or 7. The elderly man was very kind although we came on holiday (15.08.2017.) late in the afternoon. And of course at the end we got fresh fruits. Hmmmmm.....Next summer we go on holiday to West Crete but we will return. The 2,5 hour trip by car really worth it.
