All in all, a great resort with warm, friendly staff; just need to iron out a few kinks, such as:

- thin and scratchy sheets
- only 1 pillow per person
- room amenities (tissue) are not updated every day
- inconsistent pricing (sometimes the brewed coffee is priced 75, others, 95; the take-out fee is P30, some times P10)

These are minor issues that pale in comparison to a great atmosphere; consistently excellent food with big servings (though not much in terms of Filipino food, understandable as the market are foreigners), free airport shuttle service and convenient to request for a ride to and from Dumaguete.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Great stove oven pizzas!

We had some family staying here, and decided to book a room here also. We booked through booking.com, but when we arrived they basically took us aside and said there were no rooms for us. Full stop. "We will get you a taxi elsewhere" was the managers response. Luckily we had some people we knew who recommended Mike's Dauin beach resort which was gorgeous and accommodating.
It's a shame because the site was beautiful, food was great and most of the staff were nice. All except at the upper levels they lacked any sort of remorse for what happened.

My family, who were already staying in the resort, have their one multiple complaints and will be complaining on their own grounds.

We then tried to visit the resort (as the rest of our group were there) and we were told we were only allowed in the restaurant, as we were not hotel customers. As a group my family spent a LOT of money at this resort, but that's all they care about seeing as they burnt down last year and weren't insured. So now it is a money recovery scheme... shame.

I have now ended up working in the area but will NOT be recommending this place to future visitors (of which I already have 6 coming from Malaysia). Their loss!

Excellent place to eat dinner, service was excellent, staff was excellent, right on the ocean, they do cater to their guest first, so call ahead if you are trying to get there from far away. But very worth it.

My stay in El Dorado Beach Resort was so fun and light that even though we stayed there for business and trainings, I experienced the best combination of fun and relaxation while learning. The room where we stayed (good for 5) was spacious and clean with separate kitchen on it outside the room. The people are so warm and friendly that you won't get tired smiling back at them. The location is so wonderful that you can even go snorkeling in Apo Island which is just 30 minutes away from the resort. They too offer snorkeling gears for rent at a very affordable price and they provide arrangements for the boat that will take you to Apo Island where you can swim with giant turtles. Nice place! Kudos.

It's our first time to visit the resort. We've gone to several resorts in dauin and bacong already, usually to have lunch. So far, we ranked el dorado as No. 1 in our list for its delicious foods and beautiful place. The staff too are very accommodating.
