Came here for breakfast before a venture around the markets. As it was a Saturday, there were plenty of tables and chairs available and service was prompt and well priced with good coffee too.

The Silo Cafe is our Sunday morning breaky stop after the car boot sale at Carrara Markets.
Good Food at a good price and awesome strong coffee.
The big breaky is a good size. They have a great selection of food to keep everyone happy.
Once finished breaky we Cruz around the markets.
Nice morning out.

We have visited The Silo Cafe for years now and today was the last time we ever go back.
Since changing owners, they place has lost its great atmosphere along with the quality of the food and service.
A few weekends back we had waffles (my absolute favourite) and added banana, the banana was hard as a rock and inedible, we got a refund for the banana. That was fine, though it shouldn't of been put on the plate in the first place.
Today we went in and ordered two regular brekky's. We received our meals and tried to cut into he bacon, well, we could hardly cut through the hard rubbery strips of leather, we told the staff and was told in an ever so rude voice that they'd cook us some more.
We got the new bacon well after we've finished our eggs and toast and yet again, the bacon was hard and rubbery.
Not once during this time, did any staff come ask if everything was ok with the meals. Unhappy with the visit we left and decided that we wouldn't be coming back.
So disappointed to see the place going down the drain, it used to be so busy all the time, very inviting and never had such terrible food and service.
I feel sorry the previous owner seeing all his hard work being ruined by the new owners.

Stopped here for breakfast with family and friends. Reasonably priced menu that suited everyone. The portions were generous and food very good. There was a buzzing atmosphere and the cafe was busy however the food and drinks came quickly.

Our family have gone to the Silo quite a lot for breakfast and we've always been very happy with the food and the price. The big breaky is worthwhile, as is the pancakes and bacon. Yum. This place is always busy, but the service is excellent - you don't have to wait very long for your food.
