Here with friends. We knew our friends were with us, but it took a long time for wait staff to realise we were in their restaurant. From there on in it just went from bad to worse. We had to ask for water for the table; we had to flag a wait staff member down to order a drink; then finally after we had requested menus we had to flag another wait staff member to take our order. We had a great table, the restaurant was not overly full but we were the invisible ones. Our meals varied in selection and were pretty ordinary, especially the pork belly. Complained to the manager of the presentation of the pork belly dish, who indicated he would talk with chef and come back to us - needless to say he didn’t return. Later we indicated we wanted the dessert menus - never saw them. Finally settle bill time. Pointed out to the bill staff member our dissatisfaction- apologised and referred our concerns to the manager once again. Bill is paid and just before we left the manager offered a $50 return voucher to our friends as a goodwill gesture - too late. I’m local and Domanis would have to offer more than a voucher to see me grace their doorstep again. Very disappointed. My suggestion to Domanis is, decide whether your efforts go into running a slick restaurant with good presented food or become a second class restaurant serving alcohol to the hordes sitting in the bar watching the footy match. Is this why Tedder Avenue is losing its identity?
