We were unsure as to whether to visit Avanti owing to the mixed reviews we had read on here. However the evening we decided to go it was relatively busy so we gave it a chance. The staff were accommodating with our buggy etc and we enjoyed three courses. The cheesy garlic bread was a bit of a let down as the portions were extremely small. However the main courses made up for it. We opted for the pork in mushroom sauce with chips and chicken in pepper sauce with baked potato from the ‘suggestions’ part of the menu. They were delicious. Very tasty. Meat cooked excellently and plenty of sauce on both. For dessert we had tiramisu and an ice cream sundae. Again, very tasty. A nice touch at the end to receive an alcoholic shot with the bill. As the evening progressed the service got slower and slower and not necessarily because it was getting busier. Overall, a strong restaurant and would most probably visit again.
