We live in Patzcuaro and have been coming to this restaurant for about 8 years. It seems to be going down a little with each visit. First visit was so impressive with an old school waiter giving us exceptional service and we enjoyed all the food.
Yesterday I had one of my favorite cuts of beef, the vacio. It had a nice char on the outside but was dry with no juices or sauce. For the first time in my life, I had to ask for steak sauce (A-1). The vegetables, squash, chayote and carrots were 3 different temperatures ranging from cold to warm. It appeared the plates had been sitting too long before they were delivered.
My partner had a similar experience.
Pet peeve - we ordered wine and a glass of water, but they will only bring bottled water.
The meal was okay and edible (also had Caesar salad), but not great.
Waiter was nice enough and responded to requests, but wasn’t always available and over all we found the service to be slow (after given menus, it was at over 10 minutes before drink orders were taken. We didn’t know who our waiter was as menu given by hostess. We even had closed our menus in hope of service).
The place is lovely and it is a nice place to sit on a pretty day.
Maybe next time we will go simpler with soup and salad, or just coffee and desert.

Situated right next to the Barrance del Cupatitzio National Park, this hotel is beautiful inside and outside. Away from the city center, but within a walkable distance, this hotel offers tranquility as well. The courtyard is full of flowers and is well maintained. The staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous. We stayed for five nights and felt quite at home.

I stay here for business when in Uruapan. The grounds of the property are well maintained, the rooms are spartan, but clean, and the restaurant serves excellent meals. It's an extremely well-run hotel and restaurant that appears to be managed by the same family since it opened. You have to make time to visit the Parc Nacional immediately next door. The river comes out of the ground at the Devil's knee, then travels for about a mile through a park, right in the middle of the city, with small restaurants, shops, exotic plants, etc. Overall, the hotel location coupled with their great service make this a great place to get the feel of 'real' Mexico.

This is a simple review: Stay here and eat here when you go to the National Park.
After a 4 hour drive from Guadalajara you walk into the lobby and enter a lovely, lush colonial setting. A plate of cookies and fresh flowers greeted us in our spacious room. From the balcony you can hear the rushing waters of the park. The entrance to the park is a few steps away.
Cocktails on the patio after our outing were just right.
We returned for an excellent dinner...trout, shrimp and steak all top notch. The local dish of huitlacoche (corn fungus - similar to sauteed mushrooms) topped my steak - a real treat! Attentive service in a lovely setting. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner

We went there for lunch in the buffet.
The food is delicious, but the restaurante has problems with the logistics of the plates, ammount of food, you have to wait for they to bring more plates and food several times.
If they improve this, will be excellent
Service from waiters is excellent and they have a local guitar player that does it very good.
Restaurans is inside a hotel right next door to the Nat. Park entrance, so it is very convenient
