“Amazing 40th Birthday at Hagg Hill Hall”

I booked the house for 18 adults, 2 children and 1 cat for my 40th Birthday Party and we all had the most amazing time. It was even better than in the pictures, and they're pretty impressive. The house has fabulous facilities - the pool and the hot tub were a big hit - and you can find every utensil and modern convenience you can imagine. Despite the house and rooms being quite grand, they still have a very homely feel and it doesn't take long to settle in. Mel the owner was on hand to help resolve and issues, not that we had any really, it all went swimmingly. We used a local caterer called Lynne Parnell for a Caribbean themed buffet, the food was delicious and the price and service were unbeatable. Everybody said the location and party would be hard to beat, so if you have a special occasion to celebrate, don't delay, book today, you won't regret it.

“Surprise 50th Birthday”

Wonderful weekend at the end of Novmber for our friend’s surprise 50th birthday party. The house could not have been better. The pool and hot tub were highlights, both were very clean. We enjoyed a couple of meals around the fantastic dinner table. The kitchen was well equipped and it was a pleasure to have the convenience of the AGA oven (there is an electric oven also for any AGA novices). Mel was a true gent and although he did pop in from time to time for a natter, we were still able to fully kick back and enjoy the house and the facilities like they were our own. We didn’t want to leave when Monday arrived, but sadly we had to. We’d love to come back, and would heartily recommend a stay here to others. Also worth mentioning that although you’d expect a grand old property like this to be chilly, it’s really well heated and very cosy

“Just like home”
Reviewed 16 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Where do you start!!! We booked Hagg Hill Hall for what would of been my mums 60th Birthday. On arrival we were met by the fabulous Lord Humpreys and his two beautiful dogs. We were shown round the twists and turns of the very grand but cosy house. Every bedroom had a complimtary bottle of wine for each guest....which was gratefully received after the 5 hour drive!!! Each room overflowed with character and history. Beautiful four poster beds and roll top baths.......it truly is like stepping back in time with all modern day comforts and more. As we reached the pool and hot tub I knew the house was more than perfect for a great weekend! And the wine had kicked in! Throughout our stay Lord Humpreys was very accommodating and coped well with us all!!! The house was clean and very well equipped. The dining room was a pleasure to eat at on Saturday night and the Chinese takeaway is highly recommended by us all! The pool and hot tub were the main attraction for us all. We didn't have to leave the house all weekend! On our departure Lord Humpreys presented me with the most beautiful bouquet of Roses and Lilly's for my mum! What a lovely gesture! I can't recommend this property highly enough. Can't wait to find an excuse to book again :)

“60th Birthday Bash”
Reviewed 31 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I booked Hagg Hill for my husbands 60th birthday all the family came along which included 5 children under 9, I was a little concerned when everyone started mentioning antiques that we would be forever watching their every movement, this was not the case they had a ball and did not want to come home. If your looking for a house pristeen and modern this is not for you, If your looking for a very old Manor House steeped in history very warm and welcoming with quirky little parts to it then book now. There was 17 of us and we used the large dining table for three of the nights we dined at the house, it was fantastic for us all to be round one table.
The pool was wonderful the whole family was in it every day, along with the hot tub, they were both very well maintained and clean. My favourite room was the garden room we retired to it most nights for games whilst some went in the hot tub.
We had a relaxed fantastic time and the kids made full use of the whole house without us worrying. A massive thanks to Lord Humphries (Mel) for bringing this old Manor back to life and letting us share in the Manors history.
Oh yes Lord Humphries, the little ones still think your Father Christmas waiting for the big day.
A wonderful week with some fantastic memories.

“Fabulously Fancy!”
Reviewed 20 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I have just returned from a fabulous 'hen' weekend at Hagg Hill Hall. The house is truly amazing, a Grade 2 listed Manor House, full to the brim with antique and quirky furnishings. Many of the bedrooms have stunning four poster beds with en suite facilities. The lovely owner, Lord Mel Humphries took the time to show us around his wonderful home and was available when asked to provide the history of the house and gardens. He clearly has put a lot of love and care into restoring the hall to the superb home it is today. There is also hot tub and a large, fantastic indoor pool for guests to enjoy, not to mention pool table and huge boat for both small and 'big kids'!
