We stayed in the rectangular building with a wonderful shower. We had great views onto the ocean and heard the waves crash against the beach at night. The hosts were wonderful (don't know about their ability to speak English, though) ... very accomodating to any wish we had.

Room Tip: look at the pictures on the website of the hotel

This hotel has a really issue problem with service first of all the can't sell u ice because they don't have ice. How the hell a hotel on the ocean with 40
Degrees Celsius doesn't have ice
Second place one of our rooms the mosquito net has a huge hole where all the Mosquitos get inside let u never sleep
Third is unbelievable a hotel far from the downtown Mazunte on a raining night can't extend dinner time to serve food the people
Who is there and doesn't have a car to go to town on a poring raining night and when we ask for food they said we r not allow to serve food at this time when the manager is doing nothing just sleeping on a hamack
On top of that the price is the most expensive hotel in the whole area and to be honest doesn't worth it
TO BE HONEST THE WORST HOTEL ON THE AREA any further questions contact me specially if the owner read this review that I hope vincourt77@hotmail.com

Greeting understand your discomfort very well and we are very vigilant in correcting them. I tell him that we have the necessary services and that at that time of night we found ice for beers that were taking, and that were not purchased at the hotel. We will write to your e-mail he sent us to see how to amend the failure to consider effectively committed.

Casa Mermejita, a four-cabin hotel, stands out among many of its nearby competitors. This lodging is an aesthete’s sigh of relief. Architectural beauty and privacy distinguish it. It is run by its co-owner and architect, Jorge Ramírez.

Tucked away on a hillside, it requires guests to be in athletic shape to climb the long stone steps made steeper by the forest’s humidity but soothed by the birds and butterflies that announce their exuberance. The stairway evokes an indigenous pyramid. Each cabin has a unique shape. They are minimalist hybrids. Indigenous materials combine with contemporary structural concepts permitting space, air and light to predominate. The large bed is soft and draped by an unencumbering mosquito net. A triangle pool, filled with silken water, sits on a cliff nestled by a tree grove with a clear view of the ocean.

The management is friendly and conscientious. On occasion, gourmet dinners are served. Three times a year, turtles migrate by the thousands from the sea at sundown to lay their eggs at the same shore of their birthplace not far from Mermejita. They then immediately return to sea.

This lodging is a delightful haven for quiet, ecology-respectful people wishing to escape the onslaught of the urban grind. If they can climb this hillside, they’re then ushered into a corner of paradisiacal ocean and jungle.

As a local coined it, this is “the end of the world.” Expats are among those who are gradually gentrifying the village of Mazunte, one of many indigenous villages in the region. It is located one hour’s drive north of Huatulco, deep in Zapotec territory and natural reserves.

This is your home in Mazunte. Search no more.
Note that there is a long staircase not suitable for people with disabilities.
Rooms are individually designed and shaped.
Ask for the Pescado a la Mexicana that Frank does.
There's a cradle for babies and chair as well.
Endless swimming pool and astonishing view.
