My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at villa Olympia and I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy as was the swimming pool area. The gardens were full of lovely flowers creating a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was quite basic, but was fine for what we wanted. During the day you could order cocktails/drinks and bar snacks which were of good quality. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Ritsa who went out of her way to explain the island/buses and assisted us with renting a quad bike. In addition, the maid noticed it was our anniversary and left petals and flowers on the bed which was a lovely touch.
My only negative would be the location. It was only a short walk to the beach and Perissa which had many restaurants and bars (our favourite being tranqulio) which was great. However, when we explored the island we realised that Fira, Oia and Kamari were more picturesque parts and had more atmosphere as well as restaurants/bars. There were local buses to these towns which got quite packed and the last bus was at 10pm meaning in the evenings we were quite restricted unless we paid for a taxi.
Overall it was a lovely family run hotel and if I was to stay near Perissa again I would definitely stay here!

The hotel is simple but immaculately clean. Family run and they are the nicest people you could wish to meet. We were there for a short break (4 days) but I will definitely be back.

I don't think I would bring children as it's very quiet, there's a bus stop within walking distance (€5 takes you to the bigger towns). There's a shop at the bottom of the rode but the hotel is quite quiet and remote but don't let that put you off! It's perfect for a relaxing break and to re-charge the batteries. You can travel the whole Island by car in 2.5 hours so really the hotel is a nice quiet haven from which you can easily travel to the bigger towns.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are nice and quiet.

Just arrived and in contrast to the previous review have been left with a great first impression. Clean, comfortable, friendly, efficient service. Could not have asked for a better first day (apart from the gorgeous pooch who greets you on arrival in reception). Perfect!

I think we stayed in a different hotel to all the other reviewers on here! At best we found this hotel average.

We stayed for 7 nights in the last week of the season (October) so we expected the resort to be quiet, but not shut!

The staff at the hotel seemed worn out and could hardly be bothered to raise a smile most of the time. We were allocated the room directly next to the reception area, which was basic to say the least. But at least the beds were quite comfortable. It had a fridge which was handy for water/snacks. It also had a TV, which evidently was there just for decoration!

The bathroom was typically Greek in style, featuring the jauntily angled toilet which had been rammed in the corner of the tiny space taking half the wall down with it! The shower was small, and had a curtain (which personally I hate), and water was hot hot hot! Very dark and small overall, just about tolerable.

The outside "garden view" terrace was in fact adjacent to the bar toilets and had absolutely no view, unless you count next doors undies on the line! Not particularly pleasant to sit underneath the gents toilet window. We did ask to be moved, and offered to pay for an upgrade but was told no, as the hotel was fully booked, which was strange as when we walked around the hotel grounds there appeared to be quite a number of unoccupied rooms! So this was perhaps more to do with the fact that they just couldn't be bothered to open up rooms outside of the main hotel building.

The pool and breakfast areas are pleasant enough. Breakfast got a bit tedious, but was plentiful with nice homemade touches (jam/bread etc)

As there was literally nothing to do in Perivolos, we hired a car for 3 days through the hotel reception. The car arrived as arranged and roughly on time, but we have to say it was a bit of a wreck and really not worth the 250 Euros we paid for it. But anyway at least it gave us the opportunity to escape to Fara and Oia for a couple of days (hint - if visiting Santorini stay in one of these - everything was open even in October!)

Sadly we wouldn't rush to visit Santorini again now we've ticked if off our bucket list so to speak. If we did ever visit again it would be for a short 3 or 4 days stay in Fara or Oia and not Perivolos, which really has nothing that appealed to us, not even the beach and we love a beach!

We wanted a week away in the sun and were not disappointed with Santorini. The weather was great. The hotel was great too.Ritsa is most helpful and agreeable despite us being the last guests of the long season. We had a suite with balcony and hot tub..very nice.Room was cleaned each day and was quiet at night.Breakfast was typically continental and ok.The hotel is 10 minutes walk to the beach and there is a mini market 2 minutes walk away.Hire a car or quad to explore the island which has a lot to offer.
We would recommend this hotel most highly. Andy & Lea
