Great location amazing views with lots to do, this was our first time at Bairnsdale Hall, However i would highly recommend to anyone!! The staff were all great and welcoming from the moment we came to the moment we left. Just need to make a special mention to Samantha Larkin - Assistant Restaurant Manger, she is fantastic always has a smile on her face she made our stay the service in the restaurant couldn't of been better, she is an asset to the hotel i hope you are aware of that.

A lovely location once the rain had passed & the mist lifted (no control over the British weather). The staff were excellent. So helpful & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was excellent & most certainly worth a second visit!

I have visited Barnsdale Hall once before many years ago, and went back this weekend as we found the deal on Wowcher!

This hotel has a lovely location, plenty to see and do if you enjoy adventures and the outdoors!
When we arrived, we was greeted by a lovely man at reception who helped us with all we needed to know! He told us how if we wanted we could go into Oakham for a night out, which we did & was helpful by providing a Taxi number, Map, names of bars and genuinely went out of his way to ensure we had a fantastic Stay! (Thank-you)

The rooms - are slightly outdated, but this suites the building and the location! Very clean and tidy, no concerns.
The Restaurant - Our table was booked at 8pm.. The food was absolutely amazing with Excellent table service!

I would 100% like to return, for the cost of £50 with B&B on Wowcher this is a deal which is not to be missed! Great Value and a Great weekend..

Thank-you too all the staff at Barnsdale who helped make my visit so enjoyable.

X

Dear rosiewalton2018,

It was my pleasure to help you and your friend out during your stay. Not many people come to Rutland for a night out but I was happy to assist and I hope you've both recovered after Wetherspoons and Bill's Bar in Oakham. We hope to see you both and soon.

Kind Regards,

Paid to upgrade our room and had a balcony view overlooking Rutland Water. The room was extremely nice with a seating area. The en suite was clean and modern. We ate in the restaurant at night and both had the lamb shank which was absolutely delicious. We also used the swimming pool and steam room which were very pleasant. All the staff we encountered were extremely pleasant and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed for one night on an Offer in November for £75 for the room including breakfast. We were amazed at how extensive the grounds were with a good view of Rutland Water. Not only is there a Hotel but also Time Share Chalets scattered amongst the trees, a Spa and large Restaurant/Bar where you have all your meals if booked.

Our room, due to the price we paid, was quite small & had a view over a garden. The bathroom was very large and had clearly been updated and very modern. It was clean and comfortable and WiFi was free.

Breakfast was a short walk to the Restaurant and was very good with a selection of cereals, fruit, cooked breakfast buffet, pastries and toast. Coffee and Tea was freely topped up throughout.

Whilst there we had an Afternoon Tea which was in a smaller room with a good view of Rutland Water. There were several different sandwiches made with different breads, a selection of cakes and scones, cream and jam, coffee or tea.

It was a great stay and would reccomend it. Lots to do in the area and lots to do in the hotel grounds.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view if in a Budget Room
