The 4YOU Hostal is modern, well cared-for and clean. We rented one of the private rooms and the accommodations were on par with much more expensive options. The surfboard locker ensured that your space remains uncluttered. The shared kitchen and common spaces represent a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded travelers from all over the world. Many guests, when we were there, were avid surfers like us and we created great friendships. The world-class surfing at Playa Guiones is walking distance away so you can forgo a rental car and focus on what you came here for. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: One of the private rooms has three beds and would be suitable for a "one child" family. Other private rooms are great for couples.

marco and carola are super friendly and very welcoming. they run the joint like parents, always benevolent yet not hesitant to call out behaviors that don't follow the rules of the place, although always in a friendly manner.

the place itself is squeaky clean and very modern, with all the amenities one would expect from a budget hostel and then some. there is a zen feel to it that makes one want to stay longer. the very well appointed communal kitchen is certainly the central attraction. there are numerous safes to keep your valuables secure and a dedicated, locked surf locker, which makes it very appealing to dedicated surfers (about 80% of guest are surfers, many of them have been to this place many times).

as a result, they attract a certain type of crowd that is well-traveled, very friendly and easy to relate to. by the end of my week-long stay i had made a of new friends and had a blast sharing special moments with some of them.

the hostel is about 10 minute walk from the beach and 5 minutes from eateries, surf-shops and cafés. nosara is a very laid-back town without the commercial aspect of larger towns like tamarindo and 4 you hostal fits right in there.

hands down the best hostel i've ever stayed at.

Room Tip: smaller dorm (4 beds) is the best budget option. private bungalows are perfect if your budget allows it.

I've stayed here twice and will return again. The owners Carole and Marco are the best. You feel at home and part of a family staying here. Super clean! Great options for dorm, semi-private, or private bungalow. I've stayed in a private room and semi-private room with shared facilities. I'd stay in the dorm too without any reservations. Not a loud party hostel. Quiet, but social and fun. Both times I've stayed here the "hostelites" look out for each other. Clean, safe, fun, and friendly. Lots of repeat customers and I will continue to be one of them.

I spent 10 days here and greatly enjoyed my stay. The buildings and facilities are very clean, well-organized and very comfortable. Everyone was friendly, and the price was affordable. I stayed in a dorm-style bed. The open-air design with big windows allows for a good air flow that's crucial in a tropical clime. The kitchen is very nice too.
