This hotel is just perfect ! Me and my mum are here for a relaxing holiday and every day is just amazing . I really cannot fault it at all! ... The hotel itself is like a little village and you don't feel as though your in a hotel it's more like your own home .. It's clean and the cleaners come in every day to do there bit .. the FOOD! WOW! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ! For all inclusive there is everything . And such healthy good food very tasty! Fresh and lots of choice! The outdoor BBQ area is delicious! .. CAN NOT FAULT THIS HOTEL! And the location is perfect .. peaceful area with nearby everything

Everything about hotel was great from start to finish. Staff were brilliant with nothing being too much hassle to deal with, food was superb with a great choice and variety every meal time. Entertainment was excellent, catering for all age groups from young to old. Luka was great, introducing himself to all guests. He took all the young adults under his wing advising them where to go, how to keep safe and even checking on them when returning to hotel.
Gouves is very quite and traditional, just how we liked it but was easily accessible for our son to visit the lively areas i.e Malia and Hersonissos.
All in all this holiday was definitely a holiday to remember and will be returning soon
Special thank you to Elaine and Kate from the restaurant and bar area such lovely girls and of course Luka.
Made some great friends who we will definitely be keeping in touch with.

Arrived 3rd July 2017. From the word go hotel and staff were great. We arrived at the hotel at 3am (just the two of us), hotel reception staff gave us a complimentary drink of orange juice, shown us to our room to put our suitcases in and then opened the restaurant for us to help ourselves to cold meats/cheese and bread which we thought was really good. Our room was very nice, the bed was very comfortable, hotel it's self very nice and also clean. The hotel is not the most luxurious we have stayed in but other than it needing a bit of paint work here and there (including our balcony) think it is probably due to it being on a smaller scale than other places we have stayed. We had a great holiday and have come back with many happy memories. The food was excellent and plenty of choice. We spent many a lazy afternoon in and around the large pool where my hubby enjoyed water volleyball, poolside darts and occasional table tennis. We did tend to take the short walk to the near sandy beach in the morning or catch the bus to Stalis, Heronosis and Heraklion and be back for the afternoon lunch and fun and games at the pool. Reception staff will give you a map to the bus stop if you ask, it is about 15 minute walk but we never waited very long for a bus. Fares were very cheap too about 2 to 3 euros. We did see signs for daily car hire as cheap as 18 euros a day but we didn't bother we found the buses a great way to get around. The hotel it's self is in a quiet area, there are not many bars and shops but if you walk out of the hotel, turn right, turn right again and walk along the coast line and take the right turn after the big hotel, there is a winding street with some bars and a couple of shops (15 min walk). We recommend you walk to the end and you will find a Greek restaurant called Mylos that serve great food if you fancy a change and also had Greek dancers on the Friday night. We tended to have a walk out after our evening meal as kids entertainment is 9 til 9.30pm and then we would go back to the hotel. Entertainment in the hotel tends to be typical ie the makarina dance, music quiz, karaoke, Mr and Mrs competition, club night (the club was only opened on the Thursday night) and a French pianist one night but don't want to sound negative because Luca and Marco work so hard and are really great fun and brilliant entertainers and we made lots of friends and actually enjoyed it. The all-inclusive finished at 1045 but we doubled up our drinks. If you want cocktails you have to pay for them. People have commented on here that they were only allowed 1 drink per person but that wasn't the case, however you do have to queue sometimes but not for too long. The outdoor bar continues to play music and serve drinks until approx 2pm so if you want to sit up longer you can. You can book to have one free meal on the roof top restaurant, we would recommend this as it was brilliant and the view was stunning. The Spa treatments we did not try as prices were very expensive despite being given a free voucher. On the day of our departure we had to vacate the room by 11am but was able to store our luggage in a safe room and also use the curtesy room and shower to get changed later on as we did not leave until 10.30pm, this was a great service as most hotels you would have to pay to keep your room on if you wanted a shower. The A/L continued up until we left. We thought this was a great place with wonderful staff who could not do enough to please. Special thanks to Luca, Marco, Julie, George, Ewan and the young man on reception who helped us with out cases. From our experience we definitely recommend this holiday.

Room Tip: Room 2011 is a double room by the small pool side, we didn't mind but others might not like the music going on until late

It is not 5 star ...4 max but ok. Food : 7/10. Room: 7/10. Personal: 9/10. Program: 6/10. Children activities: 5/10. be aware for mosquitos...there is no window protection net. Hot at the last floor. Cheap beverages

We would like to inform you that we always take seriously our guests’ feedback as we believe it can help us on improving our services. Also, we very much appreciate your time you spent in writing this review.
Regarding to your comment about our beverages we would like to inform you that concerning the all-inclusive drinks (alcohol or non-alcohol) that are being served at the bars and the restaurants are locally produced and we support that the quality of them is in a very good standard. You have been informed about this as it is written on the all-inclusive program that you were handed in by the reception on your arrival. Also your travel agency should have informed you that all alcohol and non-alcohol drinks we serve are locally produced, because this information is given to all the travel agencies from our side. We do have international branded drinks but they are on extra charge either on all-inclusive hours or not.
About the children’s activities, we want to clarify that we have a kids club which is open daily and many kids play there every day supervised by a member of the animation team and a playground where they can play safely together with others. Also, every night we have a show which starts with mini disco and it is followed by a show for the adults including different games and happenings. The show starts every night at 8:30pm with mini disco and all kids are very excited and participating with great enthusiasm.
Concerning your comment about our rating as a 5 stars Hotel we would like to inform you that our Hotel has been awarded with the 5 stars distinction from the Greek Ministry of Tourism. On the other hand we understand and we are aware of the differences in rating of Hotels throughout the world. This is the reason we choose to appear in all brochures-websites and all travel agents of the UK market as a 4 stars Hotel, so when you booked your holidays, you knew that we were a 4 stars Hotel, according to UK standards.
To your comment about the windows protection net, we would like to inform you that our hotel, like the most hotels around the world, doesn’t have windows protection net, but our hotel is sterilized as a precaution measure every second week by a pest control service company to minimize the presence of the mosquitoes.
In conclusion we would like to thank you again for choosing St. Constantin Hotel for your latest holidays in Crete and we are very pleased that overall you liked our staff, food and your room. The welcome at the hotel was great. We had help with our bags to our room and was very chatty.
The room was standard and wasn't worth the extra money for a nicer room. Paid for a double bed and got two singles pushed together, the bathroom smelt as there was a drain in the middle of the floor!
The pool area was big but not enough sunbed for the amount of guests, normally had to wait till about 3pm before been able to get a sunbed. There were signs up everywhere stating not to reserve sunbed but most of the day there was towels on sunbeds with no people actually using them. There was constantly pool games happening which interfered with been able to just have a swim.
On arrival we were told there was going to be maintenance work in the building which we was in but only for one day. The last two days of our holiday we was woken up at 7/8 in the morning by loud banging and drilling coming from round the back of our room. Was extremely annoyed about this.
Considering the hotel was rated a 5* I would not have expected every meal to be a buffet meal!
The all inclusive drinks were good.
The week I was there I can say without a doubt, been a housekeeper myself the bathroom never got cleaned. Only clean towels were provided and even the towels smelt!
Definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel!

We would like to inform you that we take seriously all guests reviews, as we believe that guests’ remarks will improve our services. There are though some points on your review that draw our attention and we would like to clear some things out, so guests that will read your review will read our honest answer also.
To begin with your comment about our rating, we would like to inform you that our Hotel has been awarded with the 5 stars from the Greek Ministry of Tourism. We are aware of the fact that there are differences in the star ratings around the world, so this is the reason that we appear in the UK market and all UK travel agents as a 4 stars Hotel. Moreover you knew when you booked your vacation in St. Constantin from your travel agent that you have booked a 4 stars Hotel.
Concerning our pools we would like to inform you that our Hotel has 3 outdoor pools (2 for adults, 1 for kids) as well as an indoor pool (for adults). Our animation team makes activities at the main pool area where various kind of games are played as you mentioned. Our Hotel has except from the main pool, another 2 outdoor pools that are very quiet without music and water activities so it would have been more relaxing and suitable for you. Regarding to your comment about the lack of sunbeds at the pool areas we would like to inform you that our Hotel has more than enough sunbeds at both of our pools for all of our guests. Even though there was a possibility that you did not find any sunbeds available you should have come to the reception and reported it so that we could have taken all the necessary actions to find sunbeds for you.
Concerning to your comment about your room we would like to inform you that our rooms are being cleaned and sterilized on a daily basis 6 times per week. Our cleaning products are approved and follow all the European laws (ISO & CE) regarding their environmental friendliness. Even though if you believed that the hygiene of your rooms was not the proper one you should have reported it to the reception staff immediately and we would have taken all the necessary action to fix this for you. But we do not have any complaints from you while you were here about the cleanliness of your room or bathroom.
To your comment about the meals, we would like to remind you that when you arrived you were handed in our program and our reception staff explained in details all the information regarding our facilities and services. There it is written clearly that we have two restaurants, Estia Main Restaurant which is a self-service buffet restaurant and Asteria Roof Garden a la Carte Restaurant where you are served and you have one free dinner per stay.
In the end, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience you had from the maintenance work these two days. It was a temporary work which was necessary for the better service and accommodation of our guests.
In conclusion we would like to thank you for preferring St. Constantin Hotel for your recent holidays in Crete. We always take seriously under consideration the well-intended and honest reviews as we strongly believe that they help us improve our services. We are disappointed that you were unsatisfied and we did not know anything about it as you never mentioned anything to us.
