We stopped over after landing at Newcastle airport early hours of the morning, check in all great and went to our family room which was great, was very early in the morning so straight to bed but noted there were no extra pillows in the room as per usual so only had one per adult which wasn't great! Also paperwork received with room key states to leave key in room upon check out due to covid but was asked for it at reception? We also noticed there was a sign at we left RE the car park code so I went back to reception and enquired and she gave me the code? Not sure why she didn't ask if we needed it or just give us it as we checked out as due to location of hotel everyone is surely in car. Apart from unhelpful checkout lady all was great.

It will have all been said before, but here goes - a thumbs up from us.

Clean. Good beds. An easy taxi ride from Ponteland ( I know Uber prices vary with demand and other factors - but it was less than a fiver after last orders). An easy Metro ride into the City Centre. An easy drive of a few minutes into the open countryside - and to the beaches in the opposite direction. The pub next door was pretty good (subject to a separate review). Staff were pretty nice but not quite as jolly or accommodating as in some other PIs.

We were concerned about aircraft noise but it was fine - to the extent that we would be happy to stay here again. Probably due to fewer flights and therefore less people staying before a flight but we got a great price by booking direct on the PI site.

I use this premier inn frequently. Metro across the road that takes you to the city centre. Short walk to the airport. Great pub next door. Cheap rates and clean room with friendly staff who are always on hand to help where they can.

This is just a little further from the Airport entrance but prices are more favourable but is directly next to the Metro transport system allowing easy access to the Airport and Newcastle city centre.

Stayed here with my fiance and our 2 children aged 8 and 1. Receptionist was very pleasant and check in was quick. Room was spacious and spotless and to order complete with a travel cot. Comes with your usual tea & coffee making facilities. Room was cold when we arrived and I struggled to get the heating working. Receptionist was very helpful and offered us a plug in radiator. She also offered to help fix the heating in our room but eventually my fiance got it working. With the 2heaters room was cosy. Hotel is linked with a restaurant which offers food to order/carvery which was handy as we had travelled from edinburgh so a quick dinner was ideal! This restaurant also offers breakfast where kids eat free! All you can eat cereal, fruits etc and full English cooked to order.restaurant also includes a little softplay area for toddlers and a gaming area for the older kids. Free onsite parking at this premier inn. The other premier inn closer to the airport you have to pay for parking. If I were flying from newcastle airport again I'd choose to stay at this hotel again. Ideal location as 2min drive from airport and close by to a 24hr tesco also!
