Dwa wesela do rana. Zdecydowanie nie polecam i napewno nigdy tu nie wróce.
The airconditioner at the room doesn't work, it's horrible hot ! The staff was helpful but it;s need renovation. Last night wasn't possible to sleep at all. Not only because the A/C wasn't working but there was also two wedding parties. Noise and music till 6 AM.Outdoor pool needs to cleaned too. I wouldn't recommend this place. I am not picky and usually don't complain but this time it's impossible to leave without comments. Don't go there !

Loved our stay, thank you El Castell. Rooms were cleaned daily and had good aircon with comfy beds and a mini fridge. Pool area had lovely views and sun all day with a little cabana for poolside cocktails. Breakfast was lovely and you could take it out on the terrace and the restaurant was top notch. 24/25 as the wifi was not working in our room which led to a grumpy teenager but they're grumpy anyway!

Staff helpful, reception staff English speaking.
Hotel needs some improvements, beds, shutters, shelf in bathroom, lick of paint, though I think some have already started. Lovely pool, with view.
Near an old church that has bells ringing until about 9pm, lovely sound!
Dining areas very nice, good breakfast, bacon, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, baked goods, tea+ coffee, fruit juice. 10 minutes walk to centre where you can get buses + trains to Barcelona central and Montserrat. Was blown away by Montserrat, if you're not bothered by heights, it's a must do!

Room Tip: We had the room with a terrace, lovely to sit out at night.

Found this as an alternative to the pricey and low-quality off-airport hotels that surround BCN. Despite the 10-15 minute, 25-30 euro cab ride involved, it was still the best option. El Castell is a faded 4-star full-service hotel that still has some charm, helpful staff, and a pretty good restaurant, situated high atop the hill overlooking Sant Boi just outside of Barcelona. Would stay again if I needed accommodations for a late arrival, layover or early morning flight.

Room Tip: For quiet, ask for a room away from the pool and patio.

The hotel is situated on top of the hill in sant boi so if you have small children as a a parent myself I would definitely consider how strong your legs are with a push chair before choosing the hotel
.
The hotel was lovely, staff friendly and rooms clean, however no facilities for tea and coffee were made available in the bedroom.
We arrived for a 3 night stay and was informed upon arrival that they had weddings taking place from morning untill 3 am, had we been made aware of this prior to the stay we would have opted for somewhere else as after our day exploring we felt very uncomfortable and felt we had no where in the hotel to relax.
bar closes at midnight but found it a bit insulting to see that the wedding party were able to be served drinks after this and we as paying guests were told no 12 is the last drink for you. (We also had an early flight home booked for 8 am, and the alluded noise of the wedding really would have been made for a better sleep if we could have had a night cap)
the outdoor pool area was very clean and we'll looked after however counted 12 sun loungers so we had no where to lay when we arrived to the pool area. typical holiday makers not using the pool had saved their suń loungers with towels stopping other guests using them.
food for breakfast was nice, plenty of choice- toast cereal eggs, fruits salamis cheeses etc.
amenities in sant boi are limited, however the town has some hidden food squares that we stumbled across..tourism in sant boi we were told is not that regular, therefor I would advise a translation app for ordering food if your Spanish isn't up to scratch as communication was difficult for us in knowing what we were ordering.

Barcelona city itself is about 15 minutes away on the train situated about 10 mins walk from hotel (€2.15 to Barcelona single fair) or you could get a taxi at an expected rate of €20_25 depends on your budget for travel but for us it was an adventure out on the railway line. stopping at playa espanya.
If you do use the train you can use the underground metro service when you get into barcelona as the streets can become a very tiring in the heat if u haven't planned what you want to see.

Room Tip: 2nd floor has great views of Barcelona in the distance
