We have just got back from holiday at the Timanfaya Palace on Lanzarote. The hotel is lovely, clean with a fantastic choice of food in the buffet restaurant. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the evening entertainment was good. The downside at the moment is the poolbar which is closed due to weather damage. There was no atmosphere around the pool and no waiter service either. The weather for some of the week was cool and as the heated pool was outside no one seemed to venture in because of the coldness when coming out. We walked into playa Blanca and up to rubicon market which is very accessible- lots of choice on the many stalls. We also went on the P&O ferry across to furtaventura. It's cheaper to book yourself than booking with TUi . We would recommend the trip to the volcano. We did the volcano grill in the evening and it was well worth the money. It was an experience not to be forgotten- it was like going to another planet. The visit to the winery with wine tasting was included in the trip and very interesting.
For us although the hotel was really good we wouldn't go back to lanzarote-far too windyMore
