If you want to spend some days in Tuscany, far from the caos of crowded beaches, surrounded by the astonishing cultivated country, tasting good Italian food and enjoying a relaxing atmosphere Villa Caprareccia is the structure you're looking for.
We stayed in the camping area with our tent, eating at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. For both meals the food quality was always very high and gave us the feeling of being home.
The place is on the top of a hill, surrounded by wheat fields, olive trees and vines. It's 5 km away from the coast and quite near to beautiful cities like Volterra (40km), San Giminiano (60km) and Siena (90km).
They produce oil and wine available for sale. Sometimes the service was not perfect and it happened that we had to wait a lot between one dish and the other at dinner. Anyway I'll definitely come back here next time I pass by, because it was a wonderful experience.

We asked a man painting by the side of the road how to find Bolgheri. As a result, we had a wonderful experience watching a grape crushing, visiting a winery aging room, and wine tasting. What wonderful and gracious hospitality was shared with us! This was a special, accidental experience to visit a working farm/hotel and helped make this trip memorable.
