Just arrived after a 5 star Masseria near Bari -- while we don't speak Italian, and the hosts speak little English, the welcome has been warm and family-like. We have two beautiful suites, and just discussed our dinner plans with the host/chef for later tonight. We are very surprised to be the only guests! Hence I wanted to get this review in during holiday season, if you have been disappointed in your accommodations, do give them a try!! Very relaxing, stunning room decor.

Room Tip: Suites upstairs but they all will be nice.

Just came back from Puglia and a great two-night stay at Masseria Prosperi. The accommodations are immaculate and the availability of the indoor pool at a small inn like this was a welcome surprise at the end of the day when we returned from our day of bike riding. We greatly enjoyed all the animals as well. The highlight of our stay was the evening meal prepared by Antonio, a multi course feast of fish and vegetables (many grown organically on site) which was further enhanced by our gracious host, Mercedes, dining with us as well. Kudos also to Anna and the great lunch she made for us to pack on our bike ride. Grazie mille, Masseria Prosperi!

This masseria is tucked away slightly off the beaten track and home to lovely hosts Mercedes and Antonio and their menagerie of friendly cats, dogs, horses, goats and one cow! The rooms are very clean and well decorated and food (home-cooked by Antonio) was delicious. The only criticism I would make is that they could leave some information in the rooms about costs etc. Eating in for dinner was 50 euros a head which I think was reasonable for the quality, but it would have been good to know this upfront. Ditto teas and coffees which were charged for. This is very much a family-run business and you do get a feel for being in the 'real Italy' but maybe a few more staff on hand to do meet-and-greet when you arrive would solve the above issues.

dear Kelly, I'm happy your stay has been nice and sorry for your inaspected 50€ for dinner.
We give informations about dinner rate on our web site but, probably, is not enought.
Thank you for your suggestions, I will follow it.
bye.

The Masseria is something like a hidden secret, just thinking about it...- if I write about it it might change - but okay, they really deserve it!!
Mercedes and Antonio are wonderful hosts and the cooking of Antonio & Crew is really something special, thanks you! Even it is not cheap - compared with quality and quantity at the end, it is more as fair and not expensive! But you must be willing to pay 50 Euro (2015) each - many courses and high quality guaranteed! The rooms are nice, we had an lower room - was positiv, for 50+ maybe a little hard matrace (but still okay) - if you can choose select upper floor with terrace - the surrounding with the animals is great! I will miss Yoko (cute dog) as Mercedes will know ;-/ .... So below the bottom line, if you want a very nice Masseria with excellent interior, breathtaking food and you accept animals around you, also kids - what we liked (we do have kids) not with us this time, that's your place! All easy to reach, Cities, beaches and hot-spots of Puglia. Thank you!

Room Tip: upper floor

We stayed there a couple days. Very nice place, decoration and swimming pool are stunning. Surroundings are very nice. It is peaceful and the beaches are very close. We stayed for the dinner one night and I though paying 50 euros was a bit too much. You can find so many nice restaurants for half that price very close. This is the only negative point I can see. For the rest we were very pleased.

Der Lalolo74, I'm really happy your stay with us has been very nice, this is very important for us!
I know our dinner is not chip but if you had dinner with us you can confirm that is a really spacial time and products are fresh and good. There is an other thing that you have to consider that is very important: at Masseria Prosperi the Chef cooking for 1 up to 16 people, and is is a lux!
Thank you again and hope to see you again.
