With a few tweaks this hotel could be very good.On the whole breakfast and dinner were good but lack of variation in hot breakfast items and rather boring'main'evening choices prevent this.Unless you are taking lunch in dining room choices at the bars extremely limited. This hotel is in a fairly isolated position with rare public transport. The 2 shops are only open in the evening and carry very limited stock. On the plus side the pools are amazing, staff very helpful and rooms fine!

They’ve tried to do something a bit unique with colours that blend into the landscape - beige, whites and naturals. Reception Staff very friendly and helpful.

ACCOMMODATION
If staying in a Dome you have a quarter. No drawer space & 5 coat hangers; be sure to bring your own as they had no extras. Clean room with safe and hairdryer. No tea or coffee facilities. Good empty drinks fridge/minibar - you can fill it up with your own goodies! Air con good.

DINNING ROOM
The Dinning room is huge and very bright; feeding time for the masses. Food not that hot or inspiring. Quite a bit of queuing. BBQ outside some evenings - mainly fish. Some tasty lamb chops and surprisingly ok lasagne on our last night. Everything served on cold plates; this was a disappointing when we ate up on the terrace. Breakfast is a fest of carbs and cakes.

WIFI
WiFi was sporadic; very good in our room (far away from reception) but no WiFi at top pool (virtually next to reception). This needs to be sorted out, not ignored.

BEACH BAR
Only draught lager E3 for a pint. Prosecco E6 for a reasonable glass. And you can just see the sea (there is no beach - it’s a rocky outcrop).

POOLS
Pool areas and pool all very clean.
2 pools nicely appointed with plenty of sun beds, shades & towels provided. Top pool, freshwater, for adults; bottom pool, shallower and saltwater. Sometimes loud music is played by the lower pool ruining any atmosphere. Would be better if they turned the music right down (so only the people by the large pool can just hear it) and if they must play it at all - do so in short bursts.

BEACH
Beach is all rocks with walkway that you can jump off. You can also sit by this bit if you have booked the ‘Superior Package’ - E10 per day which includes a reserved sunbeds by the sea; water, beer, coke and nibbles daily plus use of a couple of bikes (I think).

LANDSCAPE & GARDENS
The whole place is quite clinical, minimalistic, views of builders site as very hard to maintain gardens when it doesn’t rain much. Really should plant some very large plants or start laying artificial turf.

LOCATION
A bit out on a limb; not much nearby. No major places to walk to or along the sea front. There is a local bus outside the hotel that goes into Monopoli.

MONOPOLI
Monopoli is 10mins away and definitely worth a visit. Taxi E30 or bus E1.20 per person - ask at reception for times. For a great lunch, eat at La Dolce Vita in Garibaldi Piazza.

This hotel claims to be 4*, but it needs improving on food quality, access to side dishes and organisation of self service buffet. We appreciate that it accommodates large parties, but the quality of food varies also. Very good lamb chops and seafood dishes for evening dinner but served on cold plates! However bar food excessively expensive e.g. salad (lettuce, olives, carrots = mixed salad for €6!!). Staff friendly but needs input from innovative management to give a higher 4*. Accommodation quirky if you like living in a cemented pod! Clean and comfortable but more 3*.

(+) Never had such a gourmet dinner in this size of hotel with buffet. Location is perfect to visit places. Sea is beautiful and clean if you can get in there. Breakfast was also good, not just Italan pastry.
(-) Very wavy see, for 2 days the beach was closed. At the pool the animation and dj is very loud, you can hear it everywhwre, even at the beach. Rooms very close the each other (no private space) and very small.
Upon arrival the room smell was filthy and mouldy. But if you open the window the ac turns of which makes the room hot even during the night. Fortunately there is a solution: with a scotch tape you have to tape a fridge magnet onto the sensor in the top window frame. (You can by both at the hotel shop:)) Doing this you have both ac and fresh air and can sleep well during the night.

Room tip: As close to the sea as possible with sea view

This resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept and you can see staff working on them all day. The food is tasty but gets redundant after eating it for a week. In addition, the exact same food was served for breakfast everyday.

Now for all the cons. This definitely is not a 4 star resort. It does not have some of the amenities as other 4 star resorts including bedroom slippers and robes. In addition, the air conditioning was not working during our visit. Even with the windows open, our room was extremely hotand we sweated while in the room. We called the reception 4 times and was told maintenance would come and check on our air conditioning. During our last call, we were finally told that the air conditioning on the property had not yet been turned over from heat. The property advertises itself as all inclusive. Please know, however, that all alcoholic beverages are not included. In fact, very few alcoholic beverages are included (e.g. limoncello, sambuca, and Grain alcohol). Coca-Cola is not even included, only the generic version of Coke. In addition, you can only obtain all-inclusive drinks from the bar outside not from the bar in inside. This Hotel clearly catered to those additional paying customers. There was a convention of some sort while we were there. The pool was shut down at a certain time to host a party for the conference attendees. The DJ played extremely loud music way past 12 a.m., and it was difficult to fall asleep. Last, a bottle of wine is served with both lunch and dinner everyday, which is a perk. However, the quality of the wine was very poor. For a 4 star resort, they should definitely provide higher quality wine.
