We were on our way to Alberobello from Bari Airport. We were getting hungry and we popped our location into Google Maps. Masseria Pappaperta poppes up six minutes ftom where we were. Our first thoughts were that it looked expensive. And also that there was a large group already enjoying lunch on a tour. They were housed in the original trullo type area. However Mario escorted us to the back where there was a vast function room with views to the countryside. Nothing was a bother. He told us he loved his job because he meets people from all over the world. It was a set menu of 25 0mEuros ahead fully inclusive of beverages. We firstly had sparkling rose. We ate extremely well - a selection of local cheeses and a warmed local cheese which had a name similar to a horse in Italian. Then ravioli stuffed with mushrooms. Luscious. We had some cake for dessert and coffee. It was a great experience. We commend this to anyone who is travelling this way or who is staying in the area. Such good value. Mario was excellent. We wish them well.
