A typical Finnish lake worth a visit all year round- we were here in October and you can walk around the lake on the path (there is a half marathon in the spring). It is a beautiful and calm place - hard to believe you're not far from the capital city! Info boards about the cultural history of the area.

Finnish cultural History starting from 1850 around Lake Tuusula. Famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, Finnish writers Aleksis Kivi and Juhani Aho, Finnish Artists Eero Järnefelt and Pekka Halonen, all have their house or other building around the lake.
Walk or rent a bike to see the area.
