The hotel is built for small congresses. There are several meeting rooms in different sizes. Likewise many other visitors wrote the furnitures, bathrooms etc. are not very modern and the rooms are quite small but the place is clean and quiet. Very nice surroundings for promenades.
Gustavelund is a conference hotel with different business model than those city center hotels. Therefore rating Gustavelund as a hotel is a bit misleading - among conference hotels of its' class it should get the fourth star.
Staff at the reception and at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. Renovated rooms are good, lobby area and meeting rooms are ok as well. Breakfast was the weakest point of my stay, the orange juice (I suppose) was terrible. A'la carte dinner was delicious.
Gustavelund is a congress hotel by the lake Tuusulanjärvi. It has several chambers and meeting rooms and some lobbys. Big restaurant and a counterbar. A nightclub that looks like a residue from those 70-century Helsinki-Stockholm boat discobars.
Good sauna and jacuzzi. Unfortunately they cave closed swimmingpool. Bicycle rental and some games (indoor and outdoor).
Standard rooms are quite small and low sound insulation. Beds and bathrooms are ok. Tv, minibar.
It was for a business meeting. As most reviewers said not a very modern hotel in its furniture, bathroom, etc. Regular rooms quite small. Executive rooms larger. Scene was very very beautiful.. Near the airport. Bike rental to go aroundthe lake was very helpful. 15 minute walk to the bus station to connect to Helsinki. Also don't miss the church boat rowing experience. Personnel very helpful and friendly as most Finnish people are. Not much happening in town.
We were on a golf trip, and this place happened to be near enough. Not very modern interior (rooms are recently renovated to modern standards), but very cosy and with good service. Funnily, the staff were not all fluent in Finnish, causing a bit of confusion with our reservation (two singles, or two doubles) but nothing serious. Sauna only in the morning, but so what. Breakfast is good, and the menu in the restaurant is good enough.
