A beautifully appointed hotel, in a great location overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The rooms are spacious, facilities well maintained & the restaurant serves an excellent buffet style breakfast and dinner. Suitable for couples & families.
Had a fabulous 3 night stay in Hotel Amor, after spending some time in Split. We thought that the hotel was gorgeous, I'm not sure why there are negative reviews on Tripadvisor.
The hotel has a calm and relaxing atmosphere and is situated within beautiful gardens, with olive trees, lavender and rosemary bushes lining the short walk to an amazing cove. The sea is so crystalline and warm, I'm not sure why people would prefer to use the hotel pool.
Our room was very spacious with superb views over the pool and looking towards the sea.
The staff were exceptionally helpful, they were friendly and chatty, even helping us with restaurant recommendations ( spot on, by the way)
Breakfast was lovely, the hotel use produce from their own gardens, the jams and marmalades were particularly lovely. Bread and pastries are baked on the premises and everything is fresh and tasty.
The hotel is about a 10-15 min walk to Supetar, which is a lovely little harbour.
Not enough superlatives to describe how lovely our stay at Hotel Amor was.
Many thanks, will definitely return
Stayed here for a few days after a week on the mainland. Nice contrast. It's smart and feels swish and rooms are perfectly fine. Clean and well designed. Grounds are also lovely but would say that hotel has outgrown the small swimming pool which didn't have any free sunbeds when we visited it and it doesn't feel like a hotel for families - it's quite formal. The food was particularly disappointing, maybe because we expected too much. There is a range but it was just not that appealing to us, lots of cheese and plain foods and we are not fussy. It was ok, just not much to enthuse about and so we ended up eating out at the marina instead, which has lovely places to eat for not a lot.
Beach is pebbly but sea warm and clear and beach bar/café in grounds was excellent for a snack.
Spent 4 nights at hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and with great views. Staff mostly very helpful. Only disappointment was the restaurant which doubles as conference room; too bright and stuck in 1970s. Wifi unreliable. Pool disappointing but great public beach5 minutes away. Food fine for conferences but not for family or romantic break. That said there are many wonderful restaurants in the Port about 15 minutes walk away.
We only stopped here for two days but the walk from the ferry and town centre was about 15/20 mins.
On arrival the staff member was rude so we weren't off to a good start but relaxed by the pool which is ok and then wondered down to the nearby beach which is only a couple of minutes away.
We went for half board but only had food there one, the food wasn't particularly bad, it was just self service buffet which felt like rush hour at a school canteen.
This only left us with one evening to dine out, there are a few nice places near the centre, we tried hotel Osam which had lovely views, nice food, good service and also has a roof top bar for cocktails when you are finished. This hotel wasn't available when we booked but looked by far the best hotel and in a great location.
The second day at the hotel, the new member of staff couldn't have been more helpful so maybe the other lady had a bad day.
All in all the hotel was ok just not in the best location but they do grow and use all there own fruit and veg which was a nice touch.
