Simply loved this hotel, location, facilities, staff, breakfast, best hotel in our 10 day trip in eastern Japan. After suffering two cold nights in a Nigata hotel without heating, it was wonderful to find not only heating in our twin room, quite big by Japanese standards, but even portable heaters in the hallway. Not to mention the specialty shampoos and conditioners in the lobby for you to take up to your room, even clothes peg-hangers, and little mesh bags to carry these up!
Welcomed by the very sweet and smiling young lady at the desk which had travel brochures on Takashi in English but these were quickly snapped up. Location is just across from the railway station which houses shopping like Uniqlo and several good restaurants.
Room was perfect, sparkling clean with a real cupboard and extra pillows and blankets. Toiletries were Shiseido products and nice body washcloth for a comfortable bath. Bathroom also larger than most hotels at this price. Lighting was a bit subdued but there were many outlet charging points and wifi worked perfectly.
Breakfast too was most satisfactory, apart from the usual rice and salad, there were meatballs with sauce, delicious sausages and croissants you could toast in the mini-toaster. Fruit salad, yogurt and coffee all very good.
Our room was on the 11th floor with two large windows, Lobby is on 10th floor, three lifts.
Would gladly stay here again!More
