On approach the abbey is stunning set in fantastic landscape. Lovely welcome on arrival by Annalisa. We stayed in a family room with 2 children, aged 9 and 5, very large like a one bedroom flat. The kids had the sofa bed while we had the separate bedroom. Fantastic room with original wooden beams, equipped with kitchen diner and a modern tastefully decorated bathroom with great shower. The views across the garden and countryside were stunning.
Breakfast was down in the communal kitchen area, where cakes, coffee, tea, etc were provided. A really nice touch was that plenty of bottled water was also provided and restocked daily. The lounge room next to the kitchen area had free wifi too, which had quite a reach, even to our room.
The only downside was no aircon as it was 32 degrees while we were there, but Annalisa did provide us with a large floor fan which did help.
There are large gardens with room for the children to play and they looked fantastic when decorated for the wedding we were attending.
It is a bit in the middle of nowhere so I would recommend hiring a car, especially if you want to investigate the surrounding area or go out for meals. Taxis were very expensive!
The wedding was amazing, held in the gardens with dinner and reception held in the courtyard of the abbey.
You couldn't find a more beautiful setting for a wedding or indeed if looking for somewhere different to stay than your bog standard hotel, bed breakfast.

A warm welcome from Annalisa, along with the treat to stay in such a lovingly and beautifully restored (mostly) ex-abbey and chapel was a wonderful experience. You are provided with plenty of information re the area, and lots of food items to create your own breakfasts at your leisure - as well as some items you can use for other means too! On arrival, we met the family, and were invited to pick any vegetables we wanted for our use. Annalisa answered all our questions, and gave us a walk through the chapel - wonderful. This place is within reach of good places to visit - Assisi, Perugia, and Orvieto.

Room Tip: Ask for the apartment with the frescos on the ceiling, although any would be good.
