We were staying in the hotel nearby and chose this restaurant for lunch and breakfast again the next day. We found there was a good choice of meals and prices were reasonable. We chose pasta dishes for lunch and the seafood linguini had a very nice lobster bisque sauce. The coffee was also good.

For a cafe that has been around as long as Airstream has I expected the food to be of a high standard, unfortunately this was not the case, and neither was the service.

We went for brunch and ordered a glass of champagne for the adults. This did not arrive until midway through the meal and had to be requested twice. The food was decidedly average with poached eggs arriving hard and kids burgers pronounced to be "blegh".

We won't be back, but I doubt our presence will be missed because the waiter obviously didn't care whether we were happy with our meal or not.

Neil and the Airstream team did a wonderful job with hosting our work function last week. The canapés were fresh, full of flavour, catered for our staff that required dietary requirements and the service levels prior to the event and on the night of the event was first class.
Cheers from the McPherson’s Melb team

Went for quick dinner on Saturday night.
Was busy but seemed to have look of wait staff on.
After being seated took what seemed to be ages to be asked if we wanted drinks.
After which it then took forever to place our food order. Luckily the waitress was happy and friendly and food came out quickly.
Food was okay but little overpriced for what was essentially cafe food.

We have been regulars visitors to Airstream with our family group for many years. Today was the last time. We went there 2 weeks ago and didn't enjoy the food, but put it down to our bad choice of meals. Today 3 of us had lamb shaslick or souvlaki meals. Most of the meat was tough, full of gristle and very rubbery. Not only that, any chef who puts the food over the top of hot chips needs to have his backside whacked.Soggy chips, tough, mostly inedible lamb smothered with a disgusting sauce made this probably the worst meal I've had all year and the others agreed. We told our waitress who apologised and said she would let the manager know. He came & spoke to us and we explained the problem, he didn't really say much except I will give you a discount. From our total bill of over $180 he gave us $18 off - not even the cost of our coffees. We have always told them in the past how we have enjoyed their food, this time it was simply disgusting. I suspect that the business has changed hands recently and they are cutting corners now, but we certainly won't be back.
