Walkable to restaurants and beach, clean large room, private beach but also large clean pool, open all hours. Included fine breakfast, coffee in the room. Nice balcony. Tipped the cleaners, but they shorted us on towels and pillows!

Room Tip: We had a nice ocean view, but the ship-style buildings might have been fun as well, with interior...

The Karibea Beach hotel is beautifully positioned and has a lively beach adjacent. The breakfasts were excellent though it was a battle every morning to try to persuade the staff to produce a cup of decaf coffee! The room had superb views across the bay and was ample size. The main problem was the bathroom. Although cleaned every day it never felt or smelt as if it has been touched at all! There was definite unwholesome smell in there all the time and this was disappointing and off putting. Also it has to be said that there is a lack of provision for getting snacks during the day. The lunch and evening meals were expensive so we went out into surrounding area for food each night. It would have been useful to be able to get a baguette or cake somewhere on the site however.
Beautiful position and beach but.......

The location is directly on the beach and about 15 - 20 min away from the airport (25-30 EUR transfer).
After going through the security gate there's a small reception area on the left and then the expansive hotel divided into about 2 / 3 blocks. The rooms were surprisingly quite large for the base option and the bathroom almost as large as the main bedroom area.

The room came equipped with the typical accessories, TV, AC, wardrobe, desk and mini-fridge but no iron/ironing board. They will allow you to use a spare room that's for ironing, late check-out shower etc. On the topic of late checkout.. their check-in time is 3PM and the check-out is 11AM. As our flight was at 6, I asked to see if we can have a later check-out maybe around 12:30 but the the best the could do is 11:30.

Breakfast was included in the price as well and it was a very good buffet breakfast and excellent service from the staff there during that time. Also the view was amazing from the terrace by restaurant overlooking the sea and pelicans flying by.

Despite the beauty of the overall property, they're a few issues that need addressing.
It's clearly an older property and needs some attention to detail and renovations including some of the doors that have literally started to deteriorate.

The elevator on our blocked stopped working on the day of our departure. So had to go down 2 flights of stairs .... 4 times to get the suitcases down.

The general surroundings need attention.... overgrown grass by the games area, an empty pool table... no balls or sticks.

There was no way to get a drink or snack after breakfast. There was a bar by the pool which had a private function so wasn't possible to go there. Tried by the buffet restaurant and was told it's not possible to get anything unless I was all-inclusive. Finally found an area outside with drinks and few juices which others were using as self-service. So managed to get a drink there ... until 5 min later a lady from the restaurant apparently walked all around to find us to say no I need to pay for that. I have no problem with paying for the juices but at least know where to direct guests when they ask a question.

Suitcase room by reception fills up early. We managed to get our luggage in early but many others were turned back as it's not much space. So be prepared to pull around your luggage after you have to leave the room early.

Lastly, just a minor thing. If you're working at the front desk and you charge 3 EUR for a room tax... and you're given 10 EUR.... if you need to go look for and then use a calculator to figure out the change then maybe you're not in the right profession.

Overall it not a bad hotel for the price but if in Guadeloupe again for sure will try a different location.

This is a basic but pleasant hotel situated right on the beach and close to several bars, restaurants, shops, hotels and the casino. The beach itself is beautiful : safe, shallow waters and facilities such as sun beds and jet skis. The breakfast is good and there is a nice outdoor terrace if you want to eat outside. The bar is OK, and there is entertainment each evening. Facilities such as a conference room and a few computer stations are useful. The pool looked fine although I didn't use it. The rooms are very basic but clean and everything worked fine. I'd pay the extra for a superior room however. The beach is definitely the best feature, as well as the fact this hotel is good value for money.

We stayed here for just a single night. The room was okay and met our needs. If you are looking for a resort to stay for an extended period, I would have expected a little more, but it does the trick if you're on a budget and don't have too high of expectations.

We stayed at the hotel for the first part of our 'island hopping' honeymoon. Upon arrival we were extremely disappointed with our room which was very dated! The beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom wasn't great, our toilet also broke during our stay. The saving grace of this hotel was it's location beside the sea with it's own private beach. We spent most days there - it was beautiful, relaxing and well kept. There was a good variety of food for breakfast at the hotel and it tasted good. The hotel is in a good location near a number of restaurants which was handy. All in all we had an OK experience here (because the beach was very nice), but I don't think we would return.
