We booked a table for 13 at the Hop Vine to celebrate our sons 18th Birthday and having been there before we knew we had to book in advance as it’s a popular place. We booked for 7pm and when we arrived the place was very busy bar and restaurant wise and we decided to have a drink in the bar before we sat down as some of our party hadn't arrived yet. There were plenty of staff so we didn't have to wait long to be served and shortly after the rest of our party arrived we made our way to our table. The table we were given was in another room where there was a small bar area and due to them being busy and us being a party of 13 the table and seating was what I would call cosy but not uncomfortable. But on hind sight the table could have been better placed than it was but that’s just a small observation and didn't cause too much trouble. Our orders were taken and we waited for our meals to arrive and we were not disappointed by the quantity and quality of the food when it did arrive. One of our party ordered a bottle of wine for their meal and it was very reasonably priced from there plentiful wine list. Everyone in our party commented on how lovely their meals were at the end of the night and how helpful all of the staff was through the night. On our way out there was a live music session just setting up in the bar area and we were sorry we could not stay to enjoy it. We all left thoroughly full and vowed to make a return visit in the near future

Recently visitied with a group of 10 family members for a 70th birthday party! Whilst it is very hard finding a parking space, even on a Sunday afternoon, it was well worth the effort, we all thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place! Loads of choice on the menu, we all had different meals and they were all absolutely fantastic, not one complaint! The choice of their own ales is fantastic and we had a good try at sampling most of them!! You need to book several weeks in advance to get into here...we are booking again to go back with a couple of friends just as soon as we can get in! Very popular and busy place....and I can see why!

Many people had told us about this place and also mentioned that booking was a must. On arrival, one windy Wednesday evening me and my husband were welcomed as soon as we entered the pub by friendly waitresses. Our meal was superb, tasty, hot and very interesting, colourful presentation of the food. Cocktails are also available and we will be back
