We had a great Fioentina Steak at La Querce. It worked very well with tender quality meat. Others had excellent pasta dishes.

We were excited to visit this restaurant for dinner, because of the reviews, but we found the staff, firstly to be reluctant to serve us at all, and then to state that certain sauces did not go with the pastas, and to refuse to serve the combination(even though the menu stated the diner could mix and match)! When asked for a wine list we were told that there was only one white wine available - the house wine. This seemed unbelievable in an area famed for it's choice and variety of beautiful, local wines. The wine was drinkable, but not particularly nice, and we had been offered choices of wines in even the humblest of cafes everywhere else in Tuscany. Altogether a disappointing visit, although the venue was probably a lot more appealing in the height of summer, when diners could eat outside.

We were fortunate enough to have taken a drive out of Firenze.

This restaurant is close to the Prada outlet store about 25 mins from Firenze.

Beautiful outdoor setting and the food is home made and all care is taken.

LTJ ordered the meal of the lunch - rabbit ragu. I tried the dish and could have been converted to eating rabbit based on this dish! It was the best pasta I've ever had. LJT was very happy so much so he wanted to hug the chef!

My pasta was potato filled gnocci with mushrooms which was very good. The staff are friendly (if you speak English) - all in all a wonderful way to eat real Italian food in the countryside.

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Italy. The first time we went was in 2008 and then just recently again. The Pappardelle with rabbit sauce was out of this world. Other excellent dishes we had were grilled veal, pappardelle with veal sauce, pollo alla diavola, for dessert the panna cotta con frutti di bosco was amazing.
The atmosphere is family oriented. 9 people with wine, water, antipasti. primo, secondo, and dessert came to 215 euro.
Worth every cent!

We dined here as it was one of the few recommended restaurants open on a Monday night. We were certainly not disappointed. It was not the easiest of restaurants to find even on Google but it is on the road from Levane to Arezzo on a side of a hill following a few windy bends. Indeed you can almost miss it as it is located on a bend itself but its situation is superb. The food was excellent and various dishes enjoyed by all. A number of us chose the chicken as the main course which apparently was their speciality and we could see why. We went back another night and had the same so that tells you how good it was.
