I have just returned to London from a 4 day break at the Knightsbrook hotel and spa. It was an excellent stay and the few days at the hotel really helped rechage the batteries. The hotel is located in beautiful countryside and the peace and calm are excellent to help unwind and relax. For all golf lovers, it is a must.
I have stayed here before and it was lovely to be welcomed back by name on arriving at the hotel. We were checked in by Aoife who was extremely polite, professional and showed great customer care. Checking in was very swift and in no time at all we were settled in our room, we had a beautiful duplex room which really made us feel very special indeed.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly indeed and certainly know what customer care and service ia all about. A special thanks to Amanda and Paula in the terrace restaurant who were both helpful and excellent in their roles. Louis, the concierge , is character to behold but again very professional in his role. Well done Patrick to all your wonderful staff.

Room tip: All rooms are very well appointed but the view over the golf course is stunning.

Stayed at this hotel for one night using a groupon deal. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and would place this one up there with the best. Fresh, spacious and spotless room complemented by helpful and friendly staff. I made use of the free golf session on the adjacent course while wife took spa journey.
Hotel represents a great base for anyone wishing to explore the history within the Boyne valley. Only regret I have was not trying out the hotel restaurant - couldn't resist the lure of a recommended Indian eatery in town!
Highly recommended and would definitely return, particularly if the deal was good.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this great hotel/resort. I attending a wedding here and the attention to detail was spectacular...the food was the best meal i have ever had at a wedding. The staff were all top notch and always available...Hats off to the GM Patrick, Mark, Audrey and Sinead for their fine work. I highly recommed this location for weddings and other events big or small. I also had a chance to check out the golf course, the River Spa and it's clos proximity to the Trim Castle made for easy trips into town for sightseeing.

Room tip: rooms a the back of the hotel face the golf course.

I have had lunch & bar food here recently. The food is good however I do think you should get better value, for example, sandwich/wrap with salad when ordered from menu means the salad is actually watercress and not salad! The staff are a little bit too relaxed or understaffed, I found i had to leave my table to go to the bar to to order a few times, which takes away from enjoying your food. Also found staff never actually revisit your table after you have been served your food to check if everything is ok! The views of the golf course are very nice though as is the hotel.

Attended a wedding at this hotel last weekend. Check in was very efficient.

Room was very clean and was a decent size. Bed was very comfy. Had a problem with the lights switching off when the card was put into the wall, this was rectified very quickly by housekeeping staff with very little fuss and a maintenance man also called to check everything was fine.

Food at the wedding was excellent, one of best wedding meals I've had.

Breakfast was served the next morning until 11. Again, one of the better buffet breakfasts I've had at hotels. Tea/Coffee etc was served quickly and the restaurant was very clean for a busy Saturday morning.

Staff overall around the hotel were very friendly and all appeared to know what they are doing. Very hard to fault this hotel for anything. Would definately consider returning for a few days away again.
