Owner description: Headfort Golf Club is an outstanding 36 hole parkland complex dominated by magnificent specimen trees and river scenery. Both courses take full advantage of the natural beauty of one of Ireland's oldest and finest estates. Located near the picturesque heritage town of Kells in County Meath, it is easily accessible via Exit 10 of the M3 motorway (35 minutes drive from Dublin) "It's the finest piece of land I have worked with and could host the Irish Open without any trouble," said Christy O'Connor Jr. New Course designer and Ryder Cup hero. The Headfort New Course is consistently ranked in the Top 10 parkland courses in all Ireland. Golf Societies and Group Visits are welcome. There is a Proshop on site offering golf equipment and hire and lessons with a professional. The Clubhouse has an extensive restaurant and bar and is also available for private functions. Special value overnight accommodation packages are available with the nearby Headfort Arms Hotel.

Played this course on Sunday 31st August 2014 n was very impressed with how well the condition of the course it's no surprise it was voted in the top 10 in Ireland. The fairways are in amazing condition, the greens were challenging n nearly every hole had water 2 make u think more abt ur shots. I played with a society n it was only €50 4 a round of golf on the new course with dinner after in the fantastic club house. I'll def b going back in the future n wld recommend any golfer if u haven't already played it get it booked u won't b disappointed.

Two great golf courses on the one well run site.
Played the New course twice and the Old once and enjoyed every moment even hitting the odd ball in the water.
The New is an American style course with lots of drives over water, big greens and long distances between the greens and the next tee.So I would advise the hiring of a buggie. The Old is a more traditional parkland course in excellent order and certainly walkable, combined they made for a wonderful and challenging weekend. My only gripe is that the bunkers could do with a good rake or more sand as a few had hard compacted sand and were difficult to play especially on the New

Really good challenging courses. Lovely bright spacious clubhouse and very friendly welcoming staff. Old course in great condition and easy to walk. However New Course quite hilly and long walks between green to tee. A buggy would make the trip more enjoyable. New course is a real challenge with lots of water in play so bring plenty of balls.
